Location! This was the best place to stay at. Everything was within walking distance and for things that were farther away the train station is right across the street or catch a taxi right outside the door. Super clean and safe place. Front desk was always super helpful.

shower pan is too shallow, and the drain was slow, bathroom and bedroom were flooded. Next day someone showed up, cleaned the drain, but now the shower hot water temperature is low, not hot enough at my last night around 5;30 pm.

We enjoyed the overall experience. The reception and check in was friendly and reassuring. The apartment was great. It was a good size and good location. It was walkable to stores, pharmacies, grocery stores and some local eating spots. The apartment was across a famous market. However, it was also a very touristy location. Sometimes difficult for taxis and Ubers to access. Also, there was train noise that was surprising to us, but it wasn't disruptive. Again, we enjoyed it and we would stay here again. One point to keep in mind, the communication through Expedia was not great. I think we would have preferred communicating directly with the folks managing the property.

Over the course of 3 nights (triple twin bedroom with balcony), we saw about 20 COCKROACHES ranging in size. So gross; I don’t understand how other guests haven’t experienced this issue because there’s clearly an infestation. We tried to switch rooms after the first night and management said they were fully booked but they would send a technician to spray. We tried to switch rooms the second night after seeing about 10 more roaches, but they were fully booked again, so they handed me an almost-empty can of cockroach spray. I asked if we could get a credit and they ended up comping our meal at their sister property, which was nice, but the conditions of the room were so disgusting, the plate of paella barely helped.
The bathroom wasn’t great either. More roaches, a toilet that barely flushed, and an aggressive sign that says if you get makeup on their paper thin towels, they’ll charge you for new ones.

The property is very near to Boqueria. Walkable to groceries, cafes, all other dining options. The room is clean, they have 2 bathrooms which is really cool for a group of 6 people . No waiting in line in the bathroom. Taxis and pick/dropoff is right in front of the apartment.
There is a free laundry and dryer on the 6th floor and they provide laundry detergent which is really a plus .
I would highly recommend this area.

The apartment/hotel is clean however, the sofa bed needs to be replaced, the mattress is not firm anymore and not comfortable. There is no toiler paper holder in the toilet and waste can under the sink.

The concierge in the evening the first two nights we stayed was super friendly and very helpful with many recommendations and tips. He went above and beyond. Other than that, the hotel was just ok. We got a room that was facing the back alley and the balcony across from us was so close that you could hear their whole conversation throughout the night. Plus the patio door doesn’t lock close properly or even lock at all. The location was great bc it was walkable to many different places that we wanted to see. But the area was way too noisy. The back alley was so busy with many people yelling through out the night and even worse the metro would rumble and rattle the room all night long. If I ever visit Barca again, I would probably avoid the touristy trap of La Rambla.

This was a great location, right in the Ramblas close to the metro station, and an easy walk to all parts of the city. Directly across from their open air market. The apartment was clean and all of amenities you need (kitchen, fridge, stove). Very comfortable, with friendly staff - I would definitely book it again!
