There are lots of really great things about this hotel but so many things they could do better. The best thing is the staff, the receptionists are incredible, always smiling, cheerful, hardworking, efficient and knowledgeable, especially Marta who went an extra 2000 miles for us at check in and later on. She resolved so many things for us to make our stay better, always ready to assist no matter how many times we asked her for help, even arranging a surprise birthday cake for us at minimal notice, and always with a warmth and kindness that made us feel valued. She was incredible and you can tell she just tries to do her best for everybody and nothing is too much trouble for her. Also Jade who went out of her way too to try and organise a restaurant for 14 people, but all the receptionists were super friendly and helpful, I only know sobe of the names, Lucia, Patricia, Esperanza but there were more. The waiting staff in the restaurant and the bars were great, Rafa, Lopez, Nicolas, Diego but others whose names I didn’t learn, so friendly and efficient. The chefs who were always on hand to help with multiple food intolerance issues and offered to make different things for me, Roberto the assistant manager was always walking around the whole hotel making sure everything was ok, always friendly and helpful and I saw him dealing calmly with a difficult issue. I also noticed that he would step in and help staff in any area if they were busy/customers waiting.

I had a great time, I should have booked to stay longer because when I actually started enjoying this place was when “time’s up!!’’ Jade(Receptionist) and her colleagues were particularly helpful as they let me into my room earlier.

Lovely hotel … though the drive up didn’t fortell that well. Facilities were great … all you could want. Peaceful quiet and buffet was a pleasure. Being in Jerez was a way from the coast … So it depends why you want. Nice golf course and next to Jerez race course

My review is for the golf resort. We booked at the convention centre but when we got there it wasn’t open. The golf resort is very close. The area is a little remote from everywhere if you are not there for golf. It is about 30 minutes to Jerez and about 45 mins to Cádiz. There was no problem with the reservation once we determined we should try the golf resort. My GPS jet finding a Barcelo Convention Center in Jerez. That is not the one.

A 5* hotel should not always be judged on the surroundings amd amenities (which were actually beautiful and plentiful here) but on how they treat their visitors and their ability to overcome any issues that may arise. Without going into intricate detail, a couple of issues (of my doing) arose and both receptionists’ dealt impeccably with my concerns as well as solving both issues effectively and efficiently. Well done to the staff at this hotel who really do make your stay feel special.

This is a lovely hotel. It has been a little bit spoiled by the fact that you can now book without breakfast and the food police are rather aggressive. The breakfast is fab and worth the money but would be better if you could book the room with breakfast. It seemed a little muddled as to who had and hadn’t booked breakfast and maybe a better system could be put in place.
