Upgrade rooms. All the rest is great

So this was our experience. We arrived late on 19th Oct. The woman at reception gave us the key to our apartment and said we’d need to properly check in the next day with our passports. No problem at all. I then asked if we could hire towels to take to the beach, as we have done at other places we have stayed in Fuerteventura. I was met with the dirtiest look imaginable and told, in not so many words, that this was 1 star accommodation and we were not to expect any luxuries. Given the attitude of this worker, we walked to our apartment with some trepidation, expecting our accommodation to be a prison cell. To our surprise, the apartment was fine. Pretty basic but spotlessly clean. On 22nd Oct, the day before we left, we wondered if there was luggage room we could leave our bags in before our evening flight. We had to deal with the same receptionist who said that our bags could be left in the library room. I commented that this room isn’t secure, which was met with this person looking at me like I’d just crawled out from under and rock and basically telling me to deal with it. Now I’ve stayed in various places, budget to 5 star. The idea that it is acceptable to talk to people like they are dirt because they're staying in budget accommodation is foreign to me. Customer service skills and being treated with dignity is for everyone. As I side note, the 2 other staff members I spoke to were fab. As she said this accommodation is “1 star”, that’s all you’re getting from me.

Absolutely amazing week here with my partner, super accommodating property! Comfy beds, amazing central location making 20 minutes the furthest you'll have to walk to anything! And the pool was absolutely amazing!

The apartment was dated but reasonably well maintained and very clean. When I arrived it was like entering a well built and well equipped apartment in 1980! The kitchen fittings, bedroom wardrobes and bathroom fittings appeared to be original, right down to the 3/4 bath and of course the bidet!

Ok place good size rooms, close to town centre in Caleta. BUT the pictures are out of date, no shop area, a bar that closes at 3.30pm, and if you are not into aeroplanes, the hotel is right below the flight path to the airport a mile or so away so can be very noisy

Nice complex, its a little tired looking but it was clean, the little bungalows are great, spacious, clean and comfortable. We didn't have the breakfast so i can't comment on that. The pool is great, freezing but great. We were there the end of march so the pool might feel a bit warmer in the summer months. Its close to the center, takes about 10 mins to walk to the main center and a beautiful beach. If you turn left you're about 4 minute walk to a few great bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again. We paid €17 to have a late checkout at 4pm. Great base

Used the bungalow as a base to tour the island on a motorbike. Friendly and professional staff. Proximity to the airport meant that a taxi costs less than €20, worth bearing in mind as taxis are expensive. The bungalow itself, curiously has both a front and rear door enabling a good flow of air and alternate places to sit during the day. Whilst aspects of the interior were undoubtably tired, such as the kitchen units and bathroom fittings, the interior paint was in good condition and the bungalow was cleaned regularly to a high standard by the domestic staff, limited cooking utensils are available, so easy notes is the order of the day. Swimming pool is huge, quality of the water was very good and disinfected with salt instead of chlorine. There are also some excellent, reasonably priced restaurants and supermarkets within a short walking distance from the development. Unfortunately, there is a considerable amount of work taking place to the front of the complex to improve the roads and drainage which necessities having to (in my case) ride around the block to get back into the car park, a minor inconvenience. Lastly, perfect location for those who ‘spot planes’ because the complex is on the flight path of landing aircraft. On balance, more positives than negatives, worked fir me.

ideal for local shops restaraunts pubs also market on saturday just across road , appt themselves could do with few more pots and pans if you are self catering , also something more comphy to sit in otherwise no other issues

Helpful staff, very efficient cleaners.

I didn,t like being on the flight path.Fridge in the room was too low down.There wasn,t any airconditioning and no fan.I liked the service in reception.The people around the place were helpful and friendly.

The stuff wasn't helpful at all . This place isn't family friendly as they didn't even have a highchair for babies . Any time I asked for it, they said "I'll speak to my boss " that was for 9 days . Really sad . And also found cockroaches in our apartment in the kitchen and next to out bed . Would come back and wouldn't recommend it either as the food is horrible, no fresh food, everything frozen or caned . I do appreciate everything in life , but this place is just so much disappointment. Sorry about the harsh words , but this is the truth .

Very efficient friendly check in.Clean appartment. Nice that you now have free loungers on your own porch. Pool lovely but freezing so not used more than once. Would have liked informing that they were working on plumbing as got covered with gush of black water. Overall very happy with our stay as convenient for town and bus station and it was a good price and would happily return

Schone bungalow, met een prima bed en loop afstand van het strand!

We had a great stay here. Basic great value accommodation but has everything you need and has a lovely communal/pool area. Our neighbours were playing very loud music one night until 2am and when we complained the next morning reception promptly sorted it out. Would stay again!!

Location excelent.grounds and reception beautiful

The stay was very good,that is my second time staying there, well located,beside all bars and restaurants, the apartments are keep clean,all seemed to be freshly painted,and a little modrenised ,they are basic but all we needed,I would have no problem staying there again.staff were very pleasant, came around a lot to clean room, nice big pool,and pool bar, plenty of sun beds, even some at each apartment,handy men keeping the complex looking good

Very average property, was a bit worn down and the beds weren’t great.

I absolutely love Fuertesol. Right in the heart of everything. Shops, restaurants, the sea.

Bit run down but for the price and a short stay it is ok. The cafe on sight is spotless and the food is decent. Staff were pleasant.
