Great hotel and area. The staff were very responsive and thoughtful. Room was small but beautiful, functional and shockingly quiet. Highly recommend Scarlet for breakfast, just around the corner!

Is a really good place for stay in vacations

Very confortable and clean

Sadly I don't think we will stay at this property again solely because the room had no ventilation and as a result we couldn't use the air conditioning. When we arrived the rug under the air con was sopping wet, and during the night so much water dripped onto the sofa bed from the unit that it soaked through the duvet and woke us up. We asked for this to be fixed but were told that it was 'just condensation'. While this might have been true, it was an excessive amount of water so we could not use the aircon on the second night. This led to our room smelling musty and made it difficult to sleep on the second night even though the weather was relatively cool. On the plus side, these suites are in a great location close to Atocha train station and the museum quarter. There are loads of great places to eat and drink nearby and the area felt safe. The rooms are attractively decorated and well equipped, with free tea and coffee and a fridge. The staff are friendly. They have convenient lockers for luggage storage, thought this would have been better if it had been available before check in as well as after check out. In summary, then, we would have liked to come again, but because we always visit Madrid in summer I don't think we could take the risk of faulty air con again. In a city as hot as Madrid in August, a well ventilated room with working air con was really non-negotiable for us.

Everything about our stay at Uma Suites Atocha was excellent. The accommodation was fresh and clean located in a convenient part of the city, 10 mins away from the train station, restaurants, cafes and souvenirs shops, and 15 mins from the main square! Perfect!

Great hostel in a great location; the room was a little small, but it was good enough for our stay.

Never did a non attendant before and was afraid it would be terrible BUT IT WAS GREAT!

Well located near botanical Gardens and Atocha station and metro. Plenty of eating options. Safe, if you walk back a couple of streets, has more quiet neighbourhood areas and cafes. Interesting system of codes to access hotel and rooms, without key or key card. Lift from street level to each floor. For my room had to climb 3 steps up from lift level then as sunken bedroom had to descend 3 steps when walk in to my hotel room. Kettle and small fridge in room handy. Great water pressure and very comfortable bed. Air con worked well. Can open windows for air if preferred. Double glazing present so noise from outside wasn't bothersome.

The building door had malfunction. The code did not open. Several people were lock out. Luckily a tenant came to open after we rang all the bells.

The elevator did not work we must carry our luggages by stairs from 4th floor to zero floor. This is a terrible experience. And did not have any staff help you and without any notification. It absolutely should be deleted from your list.

Great location. Clean and spacious room and lovely, helpful concierge. Nice air conditioning as well.

Close to station and restaurants. 20 mins to Plaza Mayor. The only thing we were disappointed with was during our 7 night stay there was no towel changing ( unable to wash them as there was no facility to do so). - don’t think this was good enough - ok there was no housekeeping but surely clean towels should have been offered at least every 2 or 3 days

Overall it was good. However the stairs in my room post a hazardous condition. You don't expect the stairs built so close to the entrance of the bath room. I almost fell three times in the first night. My wife actually fell on the floor. Luckily, she was OK. Otherwise, our whole vacation would be ruined. I would not recommend this property for seniors at all.
