Fabulous upgrade since last I stayed there. Cannot fault hotel or staff who were most helpful and accommodating.

This is a great resort. We stayed 3 nights. We booked a Junior Suite with frontal ocean view and it was totally worth the price. We had a large balcony with its own jacuzzi and a very spacious room with very comfortable bed. Everything at this resort is to notch. The included breakfast was also fabulous and it was served in an indoor/outdoor setting with views of the beach. It was the perfect relaxing way to start each morning.

The hotel is lovely & check-in was very smooth. We did not realise, however, the hotel was closing on the Sunday & although we can appreciate staff looking forward to their holidays, service was quite lax (not unpleasant, just staff were mainly absent, something unexpected from a 5 Star hotel, where in every other area, they excelled) - this was both in the bar, in the restaurant; breakfast service, however, was excellent
I do believe if we had known the hotel was closing, we would have changed our booking by one-day, so we were disappointed that a) we were not able to use any of the facilities on the final day (or sit by the pool) & b) the service had slipped
It is a beautiful hotel though, in an excellent position, we were just disappointed as we are used to hotels exceeding our expectations

Terrible customer service in numerous areas such as reception and dining by many staff members. An excessively long wait for the room to be prepared and guests who arrived after us were serviced ahead of us. Certain waiters didn't even provide the special menus we were entitled to due to the level of resources we paid for for.

I had an amazing experience at EL Fuerte. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The food was delicious, with a fantastic variety at every meal. Plus, the location was perfect for exploring Old City Marbella. I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return!

Well above my expectation. Has to be one of the nicest hotels in Marbell. Excellent location and service was second to none. Highly recommended. Not cheap but worth the money !

The information on the web site regarding different rooms are not accurate. We reserved a room with City View (important to have open view) and what they offered us was a room with wall view about 15 ft of an old and ugly building. When we explained that we expected a city view and they said rudely that “This what we mean by City View”. We were very tired after driving for many hours and the front staff not very welcoming and telling us that you can cancel if you like. Totally unexpected from a five star hotel. The Concierge staff NOT helpful at all and really not experienced to be a concierge staff. Polite but NOT helpful at all.

Beautiful hotel close to both the Passeo and to Orange square. The staff are very attentive and the hotel is spotless. The sunbeds are very comfortable around a lovely pool. Breakfast is stunning as well

We had a leak in our room dropping water on our floor from the room upstairs. It took one hour and a half for our bags to get to our room after we checked in. You have to go from pool to pool to find towels. Then you have to find your lounge chairs, open heavy umbrellas yourself and position them yourself without assistance. It can take 30 minutes, especially at the upstairs pool to have someone come to take your drink order. Then you wait….

The property is beautiful, very convenient (very close to the Old Town). The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of options to choose from. I just wish that the property would provide some entertainment in the evening other than singers singing quietly. It is very quiet in the evening so you will need to leave the property if you want to have a little more lively evening. I am not young but it was even too quiet for me. Also, the pool closes very early in the evening…I didn’t understand why because there are 3 pools on site and the Adult Only pool was far from the bedrooms windows so noise would not have been a issue. Such a shame.
