Great hotel, great service. Views from the rooftop bar were excellent - had a magnificent view of the storm that raged while we were there! Room was excellent; staff were helpful (the light in the bathroom stopped working; notified reception around 10am and it was fixed by the time we returned around 1pm), service was excellent all-round

The hotel's location is good. Great hospitality and warm service. The rooms are clean and quiet. We have just had a bad smell in our room and the corridor in general (I presume there was some trouble with the sewage on 8th floor as there was no such bad odour in the other 9th floor, where our son was staying). We could solve this by ventilating the room by opening our windows all through the day when we are out, but if the weather was cold, this would be problem.

Pool was smaller than expected but was refreshing However, it was closed at 2 days for a private party. They lied and said it was for maintenance reasons when we arrived. We would have appreciated more honesty. The room was great so other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Decent area, general condition was ok. My main issue was with the breakfast room. I kept picking up plates and cups to use that were filthy. It’s like their dishwasher was running without soap or something. I pulled 5 plates and 8 glasses before I found a clean one of either. It was disgusting and I no longer wanted to eat breakfast there that I had paid for. What’s worse - the staff in the restaurant didn’t care. They told me to keep going til I found a clean one - and they said it with no shame! Then the front desk offered to refund my money and then they moved on. I asked if they were going to escalate up a manager and they said no and started doing something else. It was filthy and disgusting and no one cared. I will never stay at a Novotel again. They don’t seem to value cleanliness or hygiene. Stay away.

AC was not working even I changed room also and everyone there was complaining. Room was so so so so so tinny. Front desk staff was awesome and helpful but property sucks.
