Scandic Kiruna

Beautiful hotel, but our room was way too hot and I couldn't change the thermostat.

Such a beautiful hotel both inside and out. Whe rooms were amazing and the breakfast was the biggest buffet ever! We had such a great stay! Highly recommended.

The location is the best. It’s the meeting point for almost all tours. There are bus stops both ways right outside. And you can see aurora when it’s strong despite the lights. The only downside is the hot water isn’t stable in the room, and weak in mine. I had to use the shower in the sauna

staff was helpful, hotel is nice. the only thing that we arrived early 2 hours before check in at 2pm and was offered to check in early with a fee. We absolutely don't mind paying but why would we get charged when the room is ready is ready? I totally can understand fee for late check out but for early check in?

Lovely modern hotel, just lacking black tea & water just a couple of essentials in the room. Dinner downstairs was good. Sky Bar pleasant.

This hotel is a little pricey but it is convenient with the whole moving the town thing. There isn’t much to do in Kiruna outside of the tours/activities.

Friendly helpful staff. Good dinner in hotel restaurant. Nice breakfast buffet. Spacious attractive lobby. Clean room with most of the things one expects. The free shuttle from the train station stopped across the street from the hotel.

It is a short taxi ride from the Kiruna airport to the Scandia Kiruna Hotel. Once there, I was delighted to find that it was a pleasant walk to a number of shops...groceries, clothing, personal care, etc. The facility, itself, is very clean. The staff is welcoming. Very nice stay!

Wonderful stay. Clean, comfortable room. Restaurant was great. We particularly loved the sauna overlooking the city. Parking was a little hard to figure out - it's across the street, but takes a little to figure out. Also seems like too much light pollution in the immediate area to see the northern lights. Overall pleasant stay.

Wonderful hotel with high quality services and amenities. - Sleek decor and comfortable lobby lounge, restaurant and rooftop skybar - Good food in the restaurant though slightly limited vegetarian/pescetarian options for lunch and dinner - Great room/bathroom amenities, no cupboard space but reasonable hanging space and good sized room make up for this - Great gym with full set of cardio and weight training equipment (kettlebells, dumbbells, mats etc) - Awesome sauna that is easily accessible with fantastic city views - Friendly and professional staff, helpful at all points during our stay - Snacks and amenities on sale at reception, also free coffee behind the reception desk - Live aurora forecast at reception with real time meteorological data - Tour agency, restaurants, library, cinema, museum just around the corner, bus stop across the street and small shopping centre within 5 minute walk Highly recommended, feels like a 5 star hotel

Front desk employees were simply outstanding. We have a large family and visited at a busy time and they alerted us to arranging for taxis several days in advance and then calling to make the reservations for us. Brand new hotel. Skybar has great views. Breakfast buffet is excellent.

The hotel is really good. Comfortable and friendly for families. My room was big enough for a double bed and a double sofa bed.

The hotel is really nice. I find that the rooms may be a little tight for a family of four. Other than that, everything was great.

A well placed hotel with good views from where we were situated on the seventh floor. All members of staff we spoke with were friendly and very helpful. The free municipal bus service from the train station was a real bonus. The only thing we were disappointed but was the very limited choice off food served at the hotel.

It was a beautiful stay with wonderful breakfast and dinner. The receptionists were super nice and friendly which also made it a pleasant stay. They interact with their customers and help them when they need it. As someone who is afraid of elevators I mostly took the stairs but there was one receptionist who was thoughtful and considerate and was very encouraging. One receptionist in particular who we saw the most was friendly and we really enjoyed our stay at Scandic Kiruna and her company. She was called Tilda and was funny, kind, respectful, encouraging, thoughtful and beautifully kind. She was the nicest receptionist we’ve ever met and this was definitely our favourite trip due to the hotel. So thank you Tilda and the rest of the receptionists at Scandic Kiruna

We spent 3 nights in the hotel. The room and toilets were not cleaned even once deapite informing on the reception desk multiple times. The toiletries, tea bags, cream and sugar were not topped up at all. Complete lack of service. Will not recommend to anybody.
