Good location near the train station and with three different tram lines easily accessible. The room was clean and modern, nice shower, toilet in the “cupboard” a bit claustrophobic. Room is quite small, not made for a lot of luggage. The hotel is perfect for a short stay for a night before heading to the train station or the airport (airport bus leaves from just outside the train station).

The rooms facing the train tracks have no soundproofing, you hear the screeching of the trains coming and going till 1 in the night and from 4 in the morning. Sleep quality is very low because of this. Otherwise a standard (small) budget hotel room, which was at least clean and warm.

Good for amount paid, rooms small and would be nice to have real glasses instead of cardboard. Basel city pass given to us was a nice bonus.

The hotel was difficult to find as the entrance is around the back and not on the main street. There were no signs at all to help. The hotel is nice and there are restaurants over the railway bridge. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a curtain, make sure you share with someone you know well!

Facilities and hotel services were good, however the A/C or fan was not working in the room. Regardless of the cold weather outside the room was suffocating and hot. We were unable to sleep with the heat and there was no way of changing it.

Instead of the afternoon our flight was delayed by 5 hours, so we only got to the hotel before midnight and the next morning we had to leave early, so we only used the hotel for a few hours sleep. The room was a shoe box for 3 people. The bunk bed was uncomfortable and it was expensive for what it was. The sink was in the room.

The hotel offers everything a hotel usually does except a bar or restaurant. However the Novotel next door has both so sorted. A ten minute walk through an undercover tunnel takes you to the railway station and bus and tram terminal so you can get everywhere. The hotel gives you a city pass for reduced cost museum access and free travel. The term Budget sets the scene, but how long do you spend in your hotel when on a City Break?
