They said free just work for one day only , the photos on site doesn’t look like the reality

Staff was nice and while location was a bit far, it was very easy to get down the hill via bus quickly. Our room flooded however which was frustrating...staff did accommodate us by moving rooms.

I reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights. Upon arrival I asked to change the reservation for one of the rooms to 2 nights and was denied. This is unacceptable.

good location, nice breakfast

Staff were amazing and went out of their way to provide excellent service… However, a few niggles with room and amenities let overall score down…. We were allocated a double room when I requested a twin, as to be expected with father and daughter sharing a room, this was rectified quite quickly but after a midnight check-in it wasn’t ideal. It also became apparent very quickly that standard EU plugs would not work, again rectified quickly when I was offered the correct adapter but at a cost of Fr.15, but when the rest of our party checked in the following day, they were provided one for free….. The biggies issue though was the temperature of the room we were allocated, far too warm and air con not working properly (blowing out hot air regardless of setting, checked by maintenance but not resolved and told it was “working correctly”). It was so uncomfortable we had to ask for a room swap, sadly none available at time of request so offered a refund of breakfast (paid for at time of booking), which I said i would think about…. Following day i was advised a twin room could be made available and refund would still apply as a courtesy…. Happily accepted room swap and difference was significant, cooler room and working air-con 👍 However, when tried to process refund, was told it could not be done as booked with Hotels.com and not with a card via Hotel!! Also paid for 5 days breakfast but checked out on final morning before breakfast opened… Good hotel, great staff, few niggles

Il n'a pas de rideau de douche, donc toute la salle de bain était mouillé. Pas de petit réfrigérateur.

Chambre confortable, de bonne dimension, très propre. L’hôtel au complet est dans une excellente condition. Excellente localisation: on peut presque tout faire à Lausanne à pied. De plus, arrêts de bus, métro et gare tout près. On est au centre-ville et en même temps le Lac Leman est accessible en qqs minutes en transport en commun. Bravo pour le laissez-passer pour les transports en commun dans la ville remis aux touristes!

The rooms and facilities were just what you would expect. The front desk was extremely helpful.

I’ve had many good experiences at this hotel. Everyone is friendly and helpful. It’s clean and convenient. this time for some reason the room I got smelled pretty strongly of cigarette smoke. It was laid and I was too tired to ask for another room. But this is the first time after staying there for many nights that this happened.

Excellent.Very good air conditioning. Thick double glazed windows.Room silent. Good beds and bathroom. Central location in the old town. Neighborhood clean and safe with some interesting characters on the street. Old town is halfway up the hill, walkable but some hills. Take the metro down to the waterfront where ,at Ouchy, there are old beautiful restored steamers to Montreux, Chillon Castle and Thonon-les-Bains with great views of the lake and Alps. Would definitely stay again.

Room did not enough lighting and made it not very inviting. The room was clean but amenities were minimal, towels thin and old. The hallway smelled damp and musky.

Excellent facility

Good location and very helpful, friendly staff. Room clean and tidy, but very basic facilities in room. No safe, no kettle, no iron. Very average for price.

I like the ibis downtown format. Rooms are small but original, location great. Parking available.

We enjoyed our time in Lausanne. IBIS is located in a great location to access the city by walking or public transit. Our room was quite small, but the shower was large and the air conditioning worked well. The bed was comfy and it was affordable.

The hotel was clean with a good breakfast buffet which could be purchased. The location is close to bus lines.
