Bayman Hotel

I had a room without windows right behind the reception desk. Perhaps this is the room that people get via Expedia’s lowest price, but there was no mention of the condition in the room description at booking. The room also had a slight damp smell and was setup in a very compact arrangement that barely worked. The room was generally clean however and the service at reception was courteous and helpful. Best thing about the hotel is its convenient location near Taipei Main Station and within the interesting narrow streets with small eateries and shops. Good for one night’s stay.

I’m really surprised that they got 8.6/10 here. Two major problems with this hotel: NO ELEVATOR and one of the lamp cannot be turned off. While I’m not sure if the lamp problem just happened to my room, the first problem cannot be resolved. It’s fine if you’re carrying a backpack or light luggage only and I’m glad that I left my +30kg luggage elsewhere, if I had to bring my luggage up to 5th floor myself (they do offer help if you check in during office hours), it will still either break their staff’s back or mine. They are quite nice and u kinda feel bad to leave this honest review but it’s a big NO for me to stay again.

The location is great and just a short 3minutes walk to the nearest entrance of the Taipei Main Station. The staff there are really friendly and helpful! They answered my queries and were very willing to provide any assistance. The room is clean and I liked that there were four bottles of water provided! Had a fantastic stay at Bayman!

Very clean and modern hotel. Staff were all very friendly. We got 4 bottles of water every day. Room was cleaned daily. I asked them to book a slot at starbucks in Taipei 101, they did so without hesitation. Property is about 2 blocks away from Taipei Main station. Lots of food around the area, and Wellcome grocery around the corner. I was able to buy boba choco at pineapple cake at half the price at Wellcome, compared to the tourist shops as Ximending. I would definetly stay at Bayman the next I go to Taipei. 10/10 for value, service and location!

Mix up with the room on the first night but the staff very helpful it resolving it for the following day. Rooms a bit small but other than that nothing to complain about.

This is a lovely hotel and great value for money. It is in a good location, close to a night market and walking distance to fruit stalls and good transport links (I.e. Taipei main station). The front desk has great staff. Emily and her colleagues were very nice and helpful all the time and looked after me well, making recommendarions for sight seeing and food options and also helping with storing my luggage. Recommend if you need a good, well priced hotel. It’s also good value for money compared so some hostels if there are two people.

Great location with friendly staff. Cozy room with bath tub and well equip. A must if want to stay near Taipei main station.

The location was not far from the exit Y13 and Y15 from the city mall. There's also 7-11 nearby. The room was clean and tidy. Staffs were all polite and helpful.

The hotel is in a good area that is close to multiple MRT (subway) stations. The only problem is that they don't have an escalator and if you have heavy luggage, you need to walk up to the 3rd floor with your bags.

There's no elevator so those with heavy luggage please take this into account. Otherwise excellent stay. Love the location. Minutes from the underground mall and train stations

We had an enjoyable stay. The room was spacious and clean. It's also quite near the MRT station and there's a nearby night market.

Nice and comfortable room and cheap price

The hotel is competitively priced, and the service is great. The hotel receptionist is very friendly, and even personally show me the room (by climbing the stairs). The room itself is functional and modest sized. Great range of TVs covering English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and so on. Wifi is fast and strong and good amenities in shower room The hotel is located in a quiet area, you may need to look the map twice to find it. However, plenty of local restaurants will satisfy your taste buds. Note the hotel has no lift, so you may have to climb some stairs, which is not a problem for me with little luggage. Will definitely come back again

No elevator (3F hotel) My room was clean. However, there's some belongings from other people's stay (a lipstick and a slipper)

Our stay was fantastic. The room was a bit small but very clean, cosy and newly renovated. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Free bottles of water daily and free movie channels as well. Location was good, close to Taipei main train station. We will definitely stay there again.
