E House Hotel

Walking distance from mrt station.. next to 7-11 shop

Not very good place to stay. Rooms are worn and dirty. Bathroom not cleaned properly at all. And a big noisy construction site outside. Locationwise it's in the middle of Ximen, which is good. But for the price I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Can't understand the good ratings. Photos on Internet looks much better than IRL.

Old and dirty--toenails on the worn rug, burn holes in curtains, smell of smoke, sticky bathroom floors. It was not expensive and well-located, and the sheets were clean, at least.

Overall was great, worth for price. Just the communication with the male staff a bit difficult.

Overrated on Orbitz. Pros 1) very good location to a lot of food areas and near to Xi Men surroundings 2) The staff is very helpful and polite. Excellent customer service. Con 1) The restaurant on the property is no longer in use. The area is being used for customers if they buy street food and want to eat at the property. 2) property pet cat roaming around the eating area (not a pet hater), just for hygiene purposes. Cat jumped up on the table while my family was having a late-night meal tired from the airport. 3) The property needs an upgrade urgently 4) roaches were roaming around 5) bedsheets need to be changed completely. The bed sheets were very old and one layer had a tear in the corner. 6) Rooms are very Dusty, you can see the dust flying under the ceiling lights. Property needs to install some air filters. 7) Unable to change the temperature to heater mode. Rooms in winter period s very cold even if the air conditioning is off

Convenient

Gave me a windowless room for the first day. A/C was on hyper, heater did not work at night. Couple of cockroaches in the hallway and one in the breakfast room. Carpet was dirty. Otherwise no issues. Front desk people were nice.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom facilities were really big. The bed was comfortable. All in all, it was a nice place to stay, as the location was very convenient, and close to all necessities, at a reasonable price.

The washroom was cute, with Hello Kitty theme! The staffs were helpful and thanks for the housekeeping for always making our room tidy!

The Bathroom drain was clogged up, found long hairs remaining after completely drain(20 minutes). The hotel was overbooked, the staff told us it's unable to change room. We end up with an early checkout.

Comfortable little hotel in a good location near Ximen Station. I was visiting for Pride at the last minute, and most other hotels were booked, so my expectations were low, but I was actually happy with E House. I was particularly impressed by the fact that when I turned off the AC and left for a few hours, when I returned there was absolutely no smell (i.e. it felt very clean and well-kept), which is normally an issue with these types of hotels in my experience. The guy at the counter was friendly and spoke fluent English. The entrance to my room was only a couple meters to the left of the front desk, so everything was a bit close, but I didn't experience any privacy issues and exterior sounds were muffled pretty well. A note about the bathroom: it looked like it had been recently remodeled and looked nice, but the shower doors did not close completely, so every time I ran the shower the floor of the bathroom would be covered with water. I quickly ran out of towels trying to keep things dry.

Good location - good bFast and staff. Not true about room near front desk let’s u hear hallway - quiet soundproof rooms

Everything was great including the staff. Wifi worked perfectly.

It was a good place to stay close to the ximending area where lots of activities go on and it is convenient happening place in Taipei.

Booked economy double room, such rooms only located on 9th floor, it's really too small, has a queen size bed and really no space for a standard size luggage. It's quite clean though. Hotel is hard to find. Building lift is very old, shaky and scary. Rooms are on 8 and 9th floors, 10th serves breakfast. Room is prepaid upon checking in with security deposit charged under credit card. But staff explained that lift has no direct access to 9th & 10th floor so that guests will not escape the 8th floor reception supervision. No logic at all! Breakfast is just plain vanilla. Location not too bad. Not worth it for this price, stay elsewhere! I stayed in much better budget hotels at Ximending few times before.

Nice Hotel close to many eatery, Ximending Retail Circles and some nice club around the area.

In general, this is good hotel + location is right in shopping area + food (breakfast) arrange at cozy place but serve same everday - far from MRT station take upto 10min or more to walk, not recommend for travelers with lot luggague as nearby so clouded with peoples - air condition doesn't' work cant adjust at all.
