It was a nice stay at this hotel. The location is the main reason we choose it. The room was very spacious and the service was friendly. The profolio quality tour magazine prepared by the owner is excellent. There are some room for improvement regarding interior design would make it even more comfortable, for example, if the bath tub could be bigger because the bath room is very big.

A good and convenient hotel to stay in Tamsui if you wish to stay a little away from busy Taipei City. It is closed to Yangmingshan and very convenient to do day trips to several sights. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean and good value for money as our rates came with free breakfast. Breakfast spread could be better but we didn’t expect much since it was complimentary. It is also within walking distance to the MRT station and many good eats around there. A good value for money hotel to be recommended.

If you want to stay around the Tamsui area, this hotel is a great choice. With less than 10 minutes from the station in a straight line, it is also easy to find. The rooms are quite spacious and come with cable TV which includes of course Chinese-language channels but also American channels like CNN and HBO. Breakfast is also included and offers a good choice of food with both Western-style food and Chinese-style foods.

the reception guys are nicely and friendly. View from my room is beautiful. Facilities - they are old but still great at all. Breakfast - not so many choices. Traffic - takes 10 minutes from the MRT station. convenient one!

The hotel itself is old. The room we stayed in was big, so that’s a plus, but it seemed like no one stayed in that room for some time and this was extremely dusty. Most facilities were outdated and not even on/used. The breakfast was the worst where the buffet selections were subpar and I even found a pubic hair in one of the dishes (stir fried cabbage). Overall, the only bright spots were the size of the room and the friendly staff. Everything else was not good. Avoid if you have other choices.

The staff were friendly, attentive and very helpful. I really enjoyed the variety of food available for breakfast. The downside was that even though I was in a non-smoking room, someone in one of the neighboring rooms was smoking and it wafted around the hallway and into my room.

We stayed here for one night, and had an OK stay here. The lobby, staff, and facilities were very nice, but the room was dated and had some problems. The bathroom shower had some mildew on the walls and glass partition, and the bed needed to be replaced perhaps a few years ago - not comfortable. We also had issues with the A/C temperature in the room. A call to the front desk revealed the you cannot control the room temperature from the room thermostat - it is set centrally somewhere in the hotel. In our room, the temperature was a constant 21 degrees C. We also experienced a very strong, unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke in our room at around 5:30 am - The hotel is advertised as a Non-Smoking facility. Overall, not a very good experience.

Very easy to reach from the MRT station, a ten minute walk at most. Quiet environment, good service. They separate group tours from the single travelers for breakfast, so it doesn't get rowdy for us. Parts of the hotel are old and not well maintained, but the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Stayed at this hotel on business. It is very close to the strain station (5-minute walk), and convenient. The staff members are multi-lingual (Chinese, Japanese & English) and very helpful. Breakfast, although I would not call it fancy breakfast, had many varieties and satisfactory. My room was just like that of a mid-class hotel in the US, but comfortable enough. Gym, however, should be improved. A few machines were left unplugged, besides being so outdated.

The room was clean and the staff was very courteous and friendly. The breakfast buffet was outstanding - a great assortment of Chinese food and the standard continental breakfast items. It is in a neighborhood with lots of stores selling great food. The waterfront and the transit station are about a ten minute walk. Overall, I am very satisfied with this hotel.

Awful smell of incense burned in the lobby. Stuffy corridor no AC with vacant rooms' door wide open. Uneven room temperature due to poor AC. Had the same, limited selection of breakfast for five-night stay straight. Sauna not operational during my entire stay.
