More about hotels in Taiwan
Find your base for a Taiwan trip
Start your Taiwan hotel search with the city where you want to spend your evenings. Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung give you northern, central and southern options, respectively. A short city break can focus on one base; a trip that follows the western side of Taiwan can use separate stays as the route moves south.
Compare three city settings
Taipei City hotels are the starting point for a Taipei-focused visit. Keep the search within the city when most of your plans are there, then use its local guide to narrow down the neighbourhood. A hotel elsewhere in northern Taiwan is a different location choice.
Taichung accommodation suits a central Taiwan stay with museums, historic temples and food markets on the itinerary. The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and Fengjia Night Market offer different reasons to explore the city. Taichung's wider geography also includes places beyond the urban centre, so distinguish a city stay from a mountain or hot-spring visit.
Kaohsiung hotels let you make southern Taiwan a separate part of the holiday. Choose nights here when Kaohsiung itself is on your itinerary, rather than selecting a Taipei address for a stay intended to cover both cities.
Compare a like-for-like room price
For your trip from the Philippines, enter the full travel party and the dates of each city stay. Compare the same room occupancy, meal basis and cancellation terms. A Taiwan-wide headline price cannot tell you the cost of a particular room in Taipei, Taichung or Kaohsiung on your travel dates.
