7/11 and gasoline station are close to the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed has been comfortable. Good breakfast! For my stay, perfect location. All my places I needed were nearby and easily reachable by motorcycle. Something special: Visitors should enjoy the sunset on Lamphu Island or in one of the many restaurants along the Tapi River.

We really liked this hotel. Our room was next to the swimming pool. The view from the room was fantastic, it feels like you are in the jungle. The beds are good and the room nice and clean. We also liked the staff. The lady from the reception speaks English very well. She was very friendly all the time. There is a shopping mall across the road and also one 15 minutes walk away with a very good food court. We definitely come back to this place.

Visa Information for Thailand

For Philippine passport holders planning a trip to Makham Tia, Thailand, understanding the visa requirements is a crucial step. Fortunately, Thailand offers visa-free entry for Filipino citizens for tourism purposes. Philippine passport holders are typically allowed to stay in Thailand for up to 30 days without a visa when entering by air, and potentially longer if entering via land borders, though this can be subject to change. It is always advisable to confirm the latest regulations with the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in the Philippines before your travel dates.

The process for entering Thailand visa-free is generally straightforward. Upon arrival at the airport, you will need to present your valid Philippine passport, which must have at least six months of validity remaining from your intended date of departure from Thailand. Immigration officers may also ask for proof of onward travel, such as a return flight ticket, and sometimes proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay. While no specific visa fee is required for this visa-exempt entry, ensure your passport is in good condition and meets all validity requirements.

While the visa-free entry for Philippine passport holders is a significant convenience, policies can be updated. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that all travellers verify the most current visa regulations directly with the official immigration authorities of Thailand or the Royal Thai Embassy in the Philippines well in advance of booking flights or making travel arrangements. Confirming your entry status ensures a smooth and stress-free arrival into Thailand, allowing you to focus on enjoying your visit to Makham Tia.
