Lanta Lapaya Resort

Everything started from the arrival. We booked a superior villa, we got to the room - it looked basic, the sofa was broken, the room was not cleaned.. then we found out that the door was not locking and the safe was not working as well. We asked the staff to fix the door - they treated us like we are incopetent and tried to teach us how to lock it. After some discussions they finally agreed to change the room - but for 2 days only. another room was better, but we still had to ask to fix the safe for us. But the next day, hot water dissapeared in this room... Again - they tried to teach us to use the shower - but then they realized its broken after waiting 2 hours. we had to keep asking constantly what is going on as they didn't inform us. they finally informed us that water heater is broken and cannot be fixed on Sunday so we had to move back to our previous room. we refused until the door was fixed, sofa was replaced and safe was working. It took some time because staff doesn't speak english and after escalating it we got an english speaker - after that everything was fixed as we asked. one more very dissapointing thing - we noticed that they went through our things... they don't clean your room unless you put the sign on and you only get one toilet paper roll per day - which is super thin and easily runs out. Breakfast... out of 5 times we went there only once there was an avocado toast. the egg was cold and looked pre-made so not fresh. Coffee was bad as well.

Slightly dated and in need of some maintenance but comfortable. Leaking and mouldy air conditioning unit. Breakfast was poor, cold food and empty a lot of the time. Friendly and helpful staff and not a bad location if you don’t mind a bit of a walk, or can use the free shuttle.

I initially was thinking of changing my reservation to stay beachfront (Lapaya is a short walk to the beach) and I’m so glad I didn’t. The bungalows are super cute and roomy. The bed is comfortable and everything is very clean. The staff are amazing and so warm and inviting. They were able to help me with everything I wanted to do during my stay, including renting a scooter and booking an excursion. I would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Lanta Lapaya was excellent. The staff are very attentive. Booked us scooters and a ride to the airport. The place was spotlessly clean. Pool area lovely for relaxing. Very close walk to the beach.

This place is a gem perched up and away from the road. The infinity pool is wonderful. The Villas are spacious with separate bedroom and living room with big windows. The staff are awesome!

No complaints here. Nice hotel, nice beach, nice staff, plenty of bars & restaurants nearby. What more could you want?

Rooms are secure, spacious with a nice bathroom. Pool is lovely but the staff really make this place. There’s not enough they can do to help and all were friendly and attentive. The mango shakes are great! We did a trip to Koh Rok which was great and can be arranged with the hotel reception as well as transfers and taxis. The beach is a short walk across the road and is great for bars and restaurants as well as on the road of the hotel. (Cloud 9 and Seven Sisters were our faves) The beach is a little stoney but you can find smoother beaches to the north or south of the island so bare that in mind. But for everything else the location is great!

Nice and spacious place, but best to have a motorbike cuz walking on the main road at night is a bit dark and dangerous in front of the hotel. For the money this place is great, but I suggest staying further South on the island cuz a way better vibe down that way.

Nice comfortable place to stay. Lots of small family Thai restaurants, we tried a couple of unnamed ones both served excellent Thai food at great prices. Saladan was a short tuk tuk ride for a livelier atmosphere.

AMAZING staff service. They really go out of their way to help you. Hotel is good, it's priced well. I personally prefer the long Beach area or higher north closer to saladan but we rented a motorbike so it wasn't an issue.

The main reason for the high point review is because of the excellent service thexperience hotel staff provides. We really felt they did an extra effort to help us in anyway they could. The rooms are nice and big. Had ants, but they fumigated and next day no ants. I would recommend though staying closer to long Beach or Prao Dao beach

The lady in the front desk has been one of the most helpful people i have met in any hotel im thailand. the rooms are nice, spacious. the lobby is not nice but not that important. they can improve the breakfast a bit. I would have preferred a location near Long Beach but altogether, for what we paid, we are pleased.

Really really spacious and clean&new room (living room area + bed room) Simple but reasonable breakfast. Frindly service. nice pool. The beach nearby is not suitable for swimming! If you want swimmable beachside hotel, it is not the best option!

I stayed at Lapaya for 8 nights. Clean, spacious, comfortable bedding and nice service for dinners. Breakfast was hit or miss. Although only a short walk across to the beach, I ended up moving to Long Beach after a bit to be right on the beachfront for similar price which honestly makes a big difference. Probably the newest bungalows on Lanta for this price range and can't beat Khong Klong for night life. Travelers/females be warned there is a sketchy guy that sits at the end of the beach access road across from the hotel, use your imagination. Best enter at another path.

Hébergement bien placé avec une belle piscine. location de scooter sur place - génial. petit déjeuner à la carte très basique - dommage. durant notre séjour de 3 nuit, le ménage n'a pas été fait mais la chambre était spacieuse avec une cuisine.

Hotel facile d acces, bcp de restos autour,manque des transats autour de la piscine.Serviettes changees tous les jours, menage(approximatif) tous les jours.Je conseillerai quand meme malgre quelques petits defauts d entretien.

Le personnel très sympathique, et la chambre super .

Vi spent one week at Lapaya, my boyfriend, our baby girl and I. We had a lovely time. The rooms are spacious and clean. The pool area was superb, clean and fresh, with a nice breeze all day long. The place had a relaxed vibe. The breakfast was ordinary. Many good restaurants in the area. We didn’t try the beach as shadow was important to our little one.
