More about hotels in The Bahamas
Choose your island setting in the Bahamas
The Bahamas is an island-by-island accommodation decision. Nassau and Paradise Island combine urban outings with a large resort scene. Other islands offer different local settings and a greater emphasis on time by the water. Choose the island before shortlisting individual stays.
Nassau and Paradise Island for different local experiences
Nassau sits on New Providence, where the capital's streets, culture and dining give a city visit its focus. A hotel selected around downtown serves a different plan from a property chosen mainly for its resort setting.
Paradise Island, connected across Nassau Harbour, is a separate island with large hotels and resorts. Choose it when the property and surrounding leisure setting are a major part of the holiday. The two names are often grouped together, but the actual accommodation address still shapes the visit.
Give another island its own stay
Long Island accommodation offers another part of the Bahamas to consider. Its shoreline, reefs and quieter island setting provide a different focus from Nassau's urban outings and Paradise Island's resort scene.
For a longer journey from the Philippines, arrange separate nights for each island you want to experience. A country-wide search introduces those choices, but it does not place them in one local hotel area.
