Everything was perfect except some details like rooms did not have a fridge, microwaves , air circulating fan, no kids buffets or kids friendly breakfast options

The hotel and staff were excellent. Our room felt truly 5-star, and the breakfast selection was very good. The only issue we encountered involved a local taxi. There are two hotels in Istanbul named Renaissance, located on opposite sides of the city. Be careful — make sure they take you to the correct one so you don’t end up going for an unexpected ride. 🚕

Checked into a garden room that was like an ashtray, asked to switch to another room but they then proceeded to charge me an extra €20 per night. Wrong. If the rooms smells like ashtray then they should tell you this and let you change

The hotel takes a deposit but gives no receipt. The price for breakfast was not told even after asking but after the breakfast they charged us $100 for 2 persons which was a rip off. The next day we were with an escorted tour at the same hotel & the breakfast was free for all tour members & travelling driver & tour manager. I should be reimbursed for the expensive breakfast at least partially.
