Very small, cute hotel. I enjoyed my stay there. I was able to walk a couple blocks to get public transportation. The proximity to the Harlem vibe was amazing!

The walls are very thin and you can hear the people in the next rooms. Most importantly our room was infested with ants. I did tell the front desk when there was someone there which there isn’t often they said they would let someone know and maybe they would spray for it but no one did because they’re still were ants. They didn’t even offer to change our room.

The property is conveniently located near the 125th Street 2-3 subway station, making it easy to reach downtown Manhattan in about 35 minutes. Although the reception operates only from 9 AM to 5 PM, they are very responsive and helpful during those hours. Overall, the accommodation was excellent value for the price!

Clean and comfortable. Quiet enough for us - can hear people walking above, but that's same for just about any place, just come prepared with earplugs. An out of the way Inn. Very pleasant. We had a microwave and a small fridge. Some things to improve on but not a big deal - I don't like feather pillows, but I knew booking it that it couldn't be helped. I still slept well. Steep stairs are hard to carry large heavy luggage up and down, but they forewarn of this on their info. Bath towels are functional but thin.

The area felt unsafe. Staff at the hotel was not present after 5 pm. They had my reservation wrong. I had to call the emergency number because we were locked out as the key that was given to us was good for one day only. Our reservation was for two nights. I provided a proof of my reservation via email. Customer service was poor.

I saw a lot of reviews saying the surrounding areas are super unsafe, but I did not find that to be the case. It has a sketchy vibe because it is clearly a less populated, less well-lit, and lower income area, but the people just minded their own business even though I was a single woman wandering the city even at night. The management was very responsive as well. The area was only an issue for me because it was so far from center city New York. It's advertised on Expedia as 35 minute walk away but that's not the case it's like an hour away. There's no good dining and cocktail bar options within walking distance. My biggest issue was that the walls are paper thin. My neighbors were insanely starting at 10 pm all the way till 5 am in the morning so I barely slept. I tried banging on the wall to get them to stop and I complained to management but it only continued. This was the experience that made me never want to come back. The building is also very old so the creaking weird noises in the middle of the night. I would not recommend staying here if you have the money to spend unless you're willing to commute a lot, wear super strong ear plugs, and just need a place to sleep.

The hotel is definitely small, but I would never describe it as uncomfortable. The room was cozy, warm, clean, and safe. There is a train that passes by often which I found to be relaxing, but if that would be an issue you should be aware of it. Not much in hotel-amenities but a working fridge, microwave, and shower is all I need. Word of advice: Don't go to the BP gas station for snacks, go down the street to the bodega and have a much better time.
