I really don’t know where to begin. The pictures online are completely deceiving — in my opinion, a scam. The property shows clear signs of water damage, neglect, and age throughout. Our first room had a terrible smell coming from the pipes, so bad that we had to request another room. The second room wasn’t much better — still had a light sewer odor, visible mold, and tiny ants crawling around. Some light fixtures were hanging loose, and overall, the room felt dirty and unsafe. We even avoided showering because of how unpleasant it was. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and genuinely tried to help, but unfortunately, no amount of kindness can make up for such poor maintenance. To all fellow travelers: don’t be fooled by the photos. This place is nothing like what’s advertised. It’s unhealthy, uncomfortable, and far from the charming experience it pretends to be. Stay away until ownership completely renovates the property.

The pictures that are shown on Expedia do not reflect in actual real world conditions. The front entrance area is dirty, run down and small/crowded. The hallways are also small and rundown, carpets are in need of changing, walls need patching up and painting. Family rooms need a major reno especially the bathroom. Sewer smell from the bathroom, caulking has black stuff on it(maybe mold) and water pressure ok to non existent. Shower area had a issue before my stay and they never patched the ceiling area around the pipes. Trang was most helpful in arranging to have us move to 2 seperate rooms at no extra cost. Those rooms were better. Thank you Trang. David was also very helpful. The location is excellent as the train street is very close(1 minute walk and lots of places to eat food) but the overall condition of the hotel is bad. They say that the hotel was built in 2016 but it looks like it's been in use for decades. I would look for somewhere else close by to stay in next time.

The room was great, very spacious with balcony. The location was perfect, lots of authentic street food places and it seems that locals go there to eat judging by the number of motorbikes parked there. Only one problem was that the shower had weak pressure and the water was lukewarm.

We stayed 4 nights the in the junior suite. The hotel is in the perfect location near great street food. It’s close enough to the lake and the Old Quarter to do everything you want to, but far enough away to not be too touristy. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The steamed airport pick up and drop off we’re seamless and the breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay here on our next trip to Hanoi.

I booked a one week stay at Lele & Frog because the price was right, there was free breakfast included, and I liked the location. All of these things are accurate and good reasons to stay, but my experience there was amazing more because of the hotel staff: by turns friendly, helpful, charming, sweet, thoughtful and generous. In particular Ms. Apple and Ms. Viu deserve special mentions for going above and beyond. Returning to the hotel to be greeted by their smiles felt like coming back to a friend's home. Whenever I next return to Hanoi there is no doubt that this is the place I'll stay. To stay anywhere else would feel like I was cheating on my friends.

Great staff, keen to do what they can to help. Breakfast good, all free, a la carte and simple buffet. Stayed 7th floor (highest) and could hear some street noise. Imagine lower floors can get quite noisy. Excellent location on food streets, 15 minute easy walk to Hoam Kiem Lake. Hotel is a little shabby; floor of corridor has some holes, shower needed sealing, walls could do with paining. Shower pressure good. Daily housekeeping. Free bottle of water on arrival.

The Lele and Frog hotel in Hanoi is in a good central location on a street with an excellent variety of eateries.Rooms at the hotel are neat,clean, tidy & quite quiet with a 'phone,'fridge,TV & attached bathroom (all for about $25 per night).A varied breakfast buffet is also included in that price.Most memorable of all were the unfailingly kind,helpful and friendly staff.This hotel also has the sweetest and tastiest Apple in the whole of Hanoi!
