Good breakfast.

The room was clean and tidy, plenty of pillows. The breakfast was fresh and was continually topped up. The staff were friendly from check in til check out

My room was very dated, the window rattle in the wind. Stains on carpets, needs a good refurb.

Stayed after watching an event in Cardiff. Comfortable beds, warm room and good WiFi. Everything I’d want! Staff also very helpful.

Overall excellent Prime location Is being upgraded as needed for years but then should be much better Room great but needs aircon Green tea needed in rooms and tissues Moved rooms this time as was too warm …. But room moved to had cobwebs and dust on tv stands !!! Not really acceptable Ok in ur home accidentally but not in paid hotel room. Beds very comfy Breakfast excellent but plates need to be warmed as cooks the food

Spotless room, hotel very central to all amenities. Topped over with an excellent breakfast.

The breakfast was nice and fresh, the harsh brown was lovely and the sausages were delicious. The room was spacious and the lighting was adequate. The room had a good view of Cardiff Castle.

Staff were lovely, fantastic location. Only problem was internet in room was patchy so often had to go downstairs to use it. Enjoyed my stay there and would highly recommend for the staff and location!

Room was very dated. Lovely size and it is an old building but needs some sprucing up

Room was clean and had all the necessary facilities. So nice to have a bath as well as shower. Toiletries linen and towels of good quality. Recycling instructions in the room which was great from a sustainability perspective. My only criticism was that the room was far too hot. No way to adjust heating myself but windows opened easily. Not a problem for me as I am quite deaf but traffic noise from street would have been loud in the morning to a ‘normal’ person! Staff on reception said they would have sent someone to adjust heating but I didn’t think to ask.

The room was really big, clean and comfortable and the breakfast very good. No complaints for the price.

Hotel needs serious renovation, lots of corridor and street noise due to lack of soundproofing in an old property, but cheaper price so get what you pay for!

We have stayed at the this hotel a number of times and enjoyed our stay and the food room quality. However, this time was disappointing. On entering the room we were immediately hit with a smell of sewage, the bathroom door was closed which is odd as hotels leave them open. On opening the door the smell of sewage was shocking. There was a portable oil heater in the room which we found out later that night was because the room was ice cold at night. The curtains were hanging off the runner and didn’t close properly. The toilet didn’t flush and this probably was the reason for the stench of human poo In the room. Very disappointed with the standard and quality of the room. We love the hotel but for. £100 a night we won’t be looking to go there again
