Pure luxury…best visit to Victoria ever!

Definitely try the elements body treatment at the spa. worth it along with saving time for their mineral pool and eucalyptus steam room. location itself is perfect, close to everything , walking or driving , and staff are great.

Very disappointed that the pool was not open when it said it would be online room was reasonably comfortable. Staff was not that friendly.

I stayed here for the night and the high tea next day. The staff are great and nothing particularly below the bar, however I wouldn’t recommend if you just want a comfortable hotel room. They do have Le Labo soap.

Beautiful hotel but not worth the price Hallways were continually cluttered with cleaning carts-all day and evening- and room service dishes outside room doors were not cleared quickly and accumulated. No individual shampoos or lotions, containers bolted to wall. Friendly and accommodating staff but disappointing experience overall at this price point.

Always a delight!

The location was great. The downsides: At the hotel restaurant, we were seated and then waited 30 minutes without being served. We tried making eye contact with the staff, but they ignored us. When we finally asked out loud for assistance, they brought two glasses of champagne, but by then we had already booked another place nearby and decided to leave. The large HVAC unit on the roof directly below our windows was running all night. It was extremely loud and very annoying. The washroom floor was not sloped properly, so water leaked out after every shower, leaving a puddle in front of the toilet. The water pressure from the shower head was far too weak.

Check in was at 4, we didn’t get keys until 4:30….we were not on the same floor as the lounge, even tho I booked on Boxing Day, I’m pretty sure all people on the same floor as the lounge did not book before me, & finally, our $1000 a night room with a “city view” was just a view of 3 brick walls and a dome thing in the middle….zero view, we had to go down a floor for the lounge, & we were not allowed to our room until 4:30….i will never ever stay here again…..last time we stayed our heat didn’t work so they gave us a space heater and zero discount…..I should’ve known not to book again….0 out of 5 stars I have never been so upset at a hotel!!!! Ridiculous our bill is over $3000 for 3 nights….ridiculous

Very elegant hotel overall. The room was small and we could hear people staying in the next room. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is good.

A beautiful property in the heart of Victoria's downtown and overlooking the water. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Great location and, my goodness the Canadian folks are so friendly and nice.

The famous Fairmont Empress does not disappoint. The grounds are so beautiful, the staff is efficient and helpful, and the hotel itself is huge and well-appointed. Our room had a lovely view of the harbor that we could see from our bed! I’m old school, and although everything was great, the bathroom was so small it was hard to turn around. Very tight even though the room itself was quite spacious. We missed the old days of having souvenir shampoo, body wash & lotion. I asked the concierge about stationery to write a letter or two and he honestly had no idea what I was talking about. The Empress is a must if you’re in Victoria and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
