Really enjoyed my stay!!!

The property is located within easy walking distance to nice out door pubs and restaurants. This is not the hotels fault as usually you don’t need Air conditioning but it was warm in Amsterdam. We had the nicest visit with Rick at the front desk. He had great stories and such pride for the Dutch and his country.

Clean rooms, helpful staff, great location - we had a really good stay and enjoyed our time at Hotel Nes. Definitely recommend.

This hotel is close to shops and restaurants. I am so glad I included breakfast with my reservation . It as actually really good . The only thing I didn’t like was the shower is an open shower so the floor gets very wet . Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Nes. I would definitely stay there again!

It's a beautiful old building on a canal. Nicely maintained but the carpets are old and stained in the room. Dusting and vacuuming could improve. No A/C and it was uncomfortably warm, but manageable. No facial tissues. Spotless bathrooms and very newly and nicely updated. Comfortable bed/bedding. Very nice and helpful staff!

I have to start off this review with the amazing staff. Rick, the man, the myth, the legend himself manned the front desk. A huge source of information about Amsterdam history, the sites to see, and great food spots (especially where locals eat). Everything is seriously within a 20 minute walk of most everything. The room was clean and plenty of shops, restaurants, tours, and public transit nearby.

Location was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Elevator- not a given in Amsterdam- existed, and worked well. Pretty basic room but for a short stay it was very satisfactory. Good to be near the Opera/Ballet theatre.

Staff was excellent. Very small room.

The hotel was ideally situated. facilities were inline with the standards expected for a 3 star property. The staff couldn’t have done more to help us maximise our time in Amsterdam. The gave us where to go and what to spend to ensure we had a brilliant time with our visit… especially Denise who shared her experience assisting us with a personal touch… Thank you all.

The good...Location is great. View of canal was very nice. People were friendly and accommodating as they could be. The so so...noise from road can be challenging and there was No a/c. Room became stuffy quickly with 2 people. The room was quite tight. We had to move sideways to get to window. The not great... Lift did not work and there was no in back area. We had to leave our suitcases downstairs. Stairs were small and narrow. Beds in attic room were older and a bit soft. Drain was very slow and was part of bathroom floor. We got wet to brush our teeth.

Very nice view. Central location. Priced lower than main hotels. The challenges. May be difficult to take luggage up the small spiral stairs. Some rooms are quite high up. 4 levels and lift was broken Needs air conditioning or at least a fan. Beds move and mattresses are a bit too soft. Some issues with drainage in shower. Hard to move around bed due to space...Likely due to older structure of house.

Hotel is very well located, and room was comfortable with a great view. Best of all was the super friendly and helpful staff!

Hotel was in great walking distance to everything ! Staff were extremely helpful ! Breakfast was great ! Only thing I found difficult were the rooms were very tiny but nice and if you are travelling with alot of luggage you need to ask for one of their larger rooms we were going on to a River Cruise so had two large bags & 2 carry on only room to open 1 of the large suitcases at a time !

Nice small hotel within walking distance of many popular destinations. Has luggage storage and an elevator, both a plus.

After very long flight we expected check in to go smoothly, But desk clerk couldn’t seem to understand our reservations and one of the three of us ended up with a room that was barely as big as a closet. The location is vefy good and the breakfast was excellent.

Wonderful location. Excellent staff. Room is on the smaller side but the canal view was agood add on.
