This was one of the most disappointing hotel room stays of my life. Firstly, we were promised air conditioning only for our room to not have it functioning. The air conditioning was stuck on 27°, and considering that it was 39° outside, this made the room extremely hot. There was no way to change this temperature as the air conditioning was locked. Secondly, the hotel walls are incredibly thin. We heard heavy construction in the early morning as well as loud hotel guests well into the depths of the night. A hotel at this price point should not have paper-thin walls. Extremely disappointing. Lastly, one of the beds was extremely creaky. Even if you moved an inch on the bed it would make the loudest sounds ever. It was hard to get a good rest when you were constantly woken up by your own bed. I would never stay at this establishment again. My experience was a completely let down, especially given the price of this hotel. Ana at the front desk was extremely polite though - so there is that. Thank you for being welcoming, Ana.

Driving into the street of the hotel we were happy to find parking. However we were confronted by a shady individual who badgered us determinedly for money. We told reception and they said the police can only move them on and they keep coming back. We chose to use the hotel underground parking. Very helpful staff, comfortable room, good breakfast. Would use again! (Probably give beggar €1 for peace of mind)

Good location, you can walk to all sights. Excellent staff. Nice room. It was peacefull in the middle of the Carnaval. Balcony was a plus. Next to a nice park and the ancient city walls

Excellent hotel next to a quiet park. Friendly reception and a nice spacious comfortable room. There is a parking garage of which the entrance is next to the main entrance stairs to the hotel. It costs €18,- to park but saves you the hassle of finding a free parking space in the street. The breakfast buffet was nice.

We stayed here for 3 nights from Saturday 20/9/25 Positives: From the outside the Hotel is an interesting almost brutalist concrete building (which I rather liked) its set near the river and on the edge of the old town wall. It’s a short walk into the old town and there are lots of restaurants around, plus Badajoz is a fascinating and beautiful city. The reception staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay (as were all the staff we dealt with). All the rooms we had were a good size with comfortable beds and effective air conditioning, plus where we had a problem with our first room the staff were very helpful in resolving the issue: Our initial room had a drip into the toilet which we only noticed as we tried to sleep, it was annoying enough to stop us sleeping so at 00:30 we asked reception to change our room. The only room they had on offer was an accessible room, which provided us with a comfortable bed for the night, though due to the set up for disabilities the room felt soulless due to the amount of empty floorspace (though it would be great if you needed to maneuver someone in a wheelchair) The reception changed us to another room for the next two nights which had a small balcony and was larger still, though much nicer. Negatives: All three of the rooms we had were tired and showed their age, with things like enamel missing from the bath and damage to the room wall. The level of cleanliness in the rooms was poor. The bar had restricted opening hours during the day (it’s a hotel, I get it being closed late at night, but not in the afternoon) The breakfast was generally poor. It was OK on the first day where we arrived early in the sitting, but on the other two days we were later and all the hot food was stone cold, plus items like the fresh fruit appears to have been out for a long time. On the third day the staff just didn’t appear able to keep up with demand and lots of things were only replaced a long time after they ran out. Overall, it a shame, al the customer facing staff are trying hard and give good service and it should be a really good hotel, but its just let down in too many places to be anything other than a disappointment.
