Breakfast was quite limited and would have like fresh fruit ,yogurt and more pastries. Staff are lovely and made our stay super special. Would recommend the afternoon tea and will definitely go back.

All the staff were fabulous, helpful and courteous. I'm a coeliac and the waiting staff couldn't do enough to make sure that what I had was GF, cooked separately, and hot The concierge staff helped immensely, pointing out places to visit as we'd never been to the area before absolutely deserve 5 stars from me for service Room(we were upgraded to a double) was well maintained, clean, and tidy and the nights sleep was as good as at home One downside...... We shared the toilet with a family of ladybirds.........

Room was very cold on arrival. Discovered radiator had been switched off. Room took so long to warm up. We sat in our coats all evening and had to use the double duvet on top of twin beds (2 x single duvets) to keep warm. Room looking very tired, saw sweets on floor and a socket hanging off the wall next to the bed.

On the Expedia web site I selected Classic Double. Expedia siphoned off the extra money and booked a Cosy Double instead. Not only did I get a lesser room, but breakfast wasn't included so we went somewhere else. I complained to the hotel and they showed me evidence of the fraud.

Fantastic service at check-in, explained everything clearly and was very helpful. Room was excellent; comfortable bed, good shower, and great views of the grounds. Meal in the restaurant was amazing; the soft egg Scotch egg starter was perfect! Breakfast was good too; the only complaint I have - and it's very picky - was that they ran out of bread for toast and no-one seemed to notice. But by that point I was pretty full from the rest of the breakfast options that it wasn't a big deal. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

Never complained/left a review before, which for an Expedia Platinum member is saying something. I travel all around the country working remote, living out of hotels, so I know what I’m talking about when it comes to these things. This is the worst experience I’ve had to date. It mostly comes down to breakfast & staff. When I arrived to this lovely property Sunday evening, after some great fun at Chester Christmas markets, I noticed whilst exploring that the breakfast menu had no prices (since I’m remote, a good breakfast is key to starting my day right). I asked the staff member behind the bar of the charge, and got informed that breakfast was included, which made sense given the menu had no mention of any such cost & after a quick Google. I figured I’d give it a go the next morning. Breakfast Monday was both tasty & convenient. There was still no mention of any charge, even after I’d provided my room number (staff intercept you over the buffet for this), which would have been the time to let me know. Since I liked it, I came back Tuesday. Check out day was not so good. Whilst eating my breakfast (inc. mushrooms, I asked for without), I was asked 3x for my room # & finally informed of charges. Not wanting a scene & in a rush, I agreed. Raised at check out, front desk arrogantly pointed to receipt small print I supposedly got months ago (I book lots of hotels), making no apology for their mistakes. I paid in full & left. Won’t be back, advise other digital nomads avoid.

There was no heating in the rooms so it was freezing. The staff weren't bothered and had no blankets when asked. The rooms weren't that clean. The bar staff couldn't make a hot toddy for my sister who was feeling unwell due to her cold room and no hot water. Apparently this drink wS not on the system so impossible to make. Such a lack of customer care is shocking. We won't be booking again

Arriving at the Inglewood it felt so homely and cosy to walk in and see an open fire in the lobby area. The room was very clean, the bed was really comfortable and all of the staff were most helpful and happy to have a chat - which is so important. Super breakfast in the morning. Thank you!

We stayed in the bridal suite and it was a nice room. However the bathroom was freezing cold and it couldn’t be fixed. The shower handle was also broken off which meant there was a knack to turning on the shower. Staff were generally great but we paid cash at the bar in the evening and then the staff member said there were charges to the room when we went to check out in the morning… Otherwise nice stay.

Staff very friendly & helpful. The downstairs is beautiful, bedrooms could do with some TLC, first room we had the bathroom window wouldn’t close, requested to move & receptionist was lovely & offered another room, which was much better although blind didn’t open properly, bathroom fan didn’t work, neither did the heated towel rail in the bathroom & only 1 radiator in the room worked. There were marks on the carpet too. Shower over the bath wasn’t great either. Really comfy bed. Some options at breakfast had additional charges but enough choice of other stuff included, although on Tuesday morning quite a few things not available- they were waiting on a delivery apparently.
