Lovely and clean. And nice staff

From the outside this is a beautiful historic Manor House but in the room we had it didn’t feel any different to anywhere else. The grounds are lovely. The bed was uncomfortable and made for a poor 1st nights sleep. The staff are good and they did look to see if they could make our stay more comfortable. For breakfast we both had Eggs Royale which was really nice but not worth the £15pp price tag. Going back to the room what it really needed was black out curtains as the light really shone through and as we were on the front any cars coming up the drive, the light would shine brightly through them. Overall it’s not a bad place to stay but it’s does need modernisation.

It's a wonderful Hotel within a nice tutor style residence. The location is excellent just a short drive to the coast and Liverpool. Great place to make a base for a few days on my way back down to London. My room was very large, excellent comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom, heating, water pressure and very clean. I had a great view of the grounds, I as on the top floor in one of the attic room. The staff were particularly pleasant, very friendly too. Great location, great Hotel and pleasant stay. I'd stay again.

Carpet was dirty and badly stained , roller blind was covered in dead flies when curtains were moved lots of dust and flies flew out. No hot water

I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The grounds are absolutely stunning—an old manor house with plenty of outdoor space, making for a peaceful and quiet retreat. The staff were incredibly friendly, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. As expected with an older building, there are no lifts, which wasn’t an issue for me, but it might be for those who struggle with stairs. The room itself was amazing—spacious and much bigger than our last stay. The shower was powerful, and the room was well-equipped with tea, coffee, and biscuits. There were plenty of plugs for charging, plus a desk, which was a nice touch. The only downside was the very soft mattress, which unfortunately left me with some backache. It’s a shame because everything else was perfect. Parking was plentiful, with spaces available both at the front and back of the hotel. Overall, a wonderful stay—I’d love to return, but I’d have to check if firmer mattresses are available!

So we stopped overnight here. Hotel is a lovely building with lots of character, the room was individually furnished and very large. Unfortunately the stay had a few disapointments.

This is the third time at the property as it's convenient but every time there has been issues with overcharging. the latest stay has finished me staying here, we were relegated to a window less room for dinner and refused access to the bar as there was a function ?? Overcharged again (double charged for dinner) promised a refund but on checking nothing had been sent. Found somewhere else for future.

Firstly let me caveat that I love this property and this is my 3rd stay. My only minor gripe is that in the evening the water was at very best.....lukewarm. It was hot in the morning but sometimes I prefer to shower in evening instead. The hotel and staff are amazing as was the breakfast.

Beautiful place , the room was huge , very clean . Dinner was lovely and they had no problem catering for my gluten free diet . I will definitely return x

I recently stayed at your hotel and wanted to share my experience. While there were many positive aspects, there were also some areas that could be improved. Positives: The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the coffee machine and biscuits in the room. The room was warm and had everything I needed. The building is stunning and the rooms are beautifully designed. Free parking was a great convenience. The staff at reception were polite and helpful. Areas for Improvement: I did not receive the VIP rewards that were promised when I booked. The bathroom was freezing, and the shower was only lukewarm, not hot. The walls were quite thin, which made it difficult to sleep as I could hear other residents talking in the early hours of the morning. My room seemed to be above the main lobby/reception area, which resulted in a lot of noise and disrupted my sleep. Overall, while I enjoyed certain aspects of my stay, the noise and lack of promised VIP rewards affected my experience. I hope these issues can be addressed for future guests.
