The hotel has a beautiful lobby & restaurant with a few nice perks, but overall the experience was very mixed. It would have been great if we had been given one of their updated rooms. We are non-smokers with no pets, nor kids and so there is NO EXCUSES! We should have been given an update room because we got there early! 3;30 pm. If we had arrived at 9 Pm; then so be it.
However, there were several downsides. The hotel has only one elevator for 11 floors, which resulted in long waits—sometimes up to 15 minutes. We were on the 11th floor. The room itself felt very dark and dated. It appears it has not been fully updated in many years. The carpet was quite worn and felt REALLY dirty, and the furniture was old and tired. A full renovation is really needed, especially flooring and furnishings to bring it up to modern standards.
Housekeeping did a good job cleaning. Not their fault!
Pros. Each evening, the hotel offered two complimentary drinks, and breakfast buffet was available each morning, which were both appreciated and enjoyed.
Our suite was large and had a nice comfortable bed, with two TVs and lots of decent closet space. The bathroom was spacious with a large tub, although we didn’t use it. Shower was TINY, but water pressure fabulous! There was a kitchen with a nice large refrigerator, but no paper towels or napkins in the kitchenette area. Bare bones and very poor lighting. A nice touch was the two complimentary bottles of water provided daily.
