Horwood House is a fantastic place to stay. The room was lovely, staff so helpful and attentive and the grounds are beautiful. We had dinner in Harry’s Bar and breakfast in 1911 restaurant and the food was wonderful in both. Would highly recommend.

Checked in without any issues. Had meal in restaurant first evening which was fairly good. Had a nice walk around the well maintained trained grounds. Loved the breakfast.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice bar/restaurant. Check in time was a little off (about 1 hour) which I think was a capacity issue. Spa was great, Sauna and Steam rooms were a little small to match the capacity of the hotel. I enjoyed my stay though apart from the capacity issue. If you’re staying there for the spa treatments, you should confirm availability before booking a room, they seem to have pretty limited slots which is disappointing for anyone planning to relax and complete escape from city buzz.

Great weekend at Horwood House Hotel. Facilities were very good , grounds were beautiful to wander in and staff were very helpful. I would definitely recommend. Only downside - we booked a deluxe room but there was only 1 chair to sit in. We requested another one , but did not receive one.

Hotel is in a lovely peaceful setting. Nice outdoor areas. Harry's bar had good food. We didn't have time for the spa so can't comment on that, but we really enjoyed our one night stay

Extremely good experience at Horwood House. Everything from the greeting at reception to housekeeping was faultless. Stayed in a deluxe king room which was as expected but above all, very clean and well maintained. Would stay again if in the area. They had the most attentive and polite staff I've ever encountered in a hotel.

Its ok. Lovely rural setting. Average but v small room which felt dull and dated. Decent buffet breakfast. Nice spa. Lots of families. The Issie’s they have is the staff who while trying to be helpful were masking the fact that many were untrained and in turn unhelpful. Solid 5/10 a but with great potential if the management took the training seriously.

We would highly recommend this hotel. We had a very comfortable, relaxing stay. Breakfast was plentiful and all freshly cooked. Our room was spacious, and very close to the spa, late afternoon swims and relaxing in the sauna and steam room was a luxury. We ate each evening in the dining room lots of choice, staff were very attentive and food was delicious.

Terrible experience neighbour knocking on thin walls no tv or music but still caused upset in stay as walked into room once knocked door and asked when leaving hotel? Everyone paid for room invasion of privacy and I’m single mum with 6 yr old in room. No security or cameras to verify just friend few doors away called reception.

Breakfast had a good variety and staff were quick and polite. The Bar staff didn’t seem to know which bar we could get what drink from and were quite slow in serving. Reception staff were efficient and very pleasant

Tried to arrange everything in advance for a stay with my mum, who has mobility issues. Staff were very accomodating, however, everything was a little further away than they made it out to be. Which did cause some issues. Fine if you are a wheelchair user, but my mum uses crutches to get around. It was not that easy for her. Rooms are very basic, for the price and the attraction of "Horwood House". Be careful, the beds are on wheels, which surprised my mum, as she almost fell off. They are also pretty firm matresses, not the most comfortable night I've ever had. I also had a dripping noise all night in my room, that sounded like the buildings heating. The pool/spa was lovely though. Not many changing facilities, so queues happen often, but it was nice and modern and clean. Dinner at Harrys was excellent. Fresh, hot and delicious. Be aware the cocktails are very expensive though. Breakfast was a disappointment. Definitely not worth £20 per person. I know its geared up for wedding parties/conferences, but the quality was so bad and nothing was as warm as it should be. The staff however, are amazing. They were so accomdating, friendly and willing to go over and above. This ranges from reception, to the staff at Harrys, the Spa and 1911 for breakfast. The staff truly made the visit special, even if some of the other stuff was a disappointment.
