The room was clean and cozy but a bit hot. A fan would have been useful even with the windows open. It is an older building so sound travels through the walls and floorboards.

The bedrooms are clean, but a bit tired needs renovation. We had a power cut during the recent storm & had to move rooms but the staff were great. The parking is good but expensive at £10 a day. Overall staff are excellent & very attentive. Bar Sixty the food is very good with generous portions. The postion of the hotel is also excellent with lots of rooms having sea views.

Hotel is old and need a good refurb. The reception, bar and restaurants are fine but once you go to the rooms its really dated and could do with a good update. Wallpaper painted over badly. The first room I was in was had stained walls and broken furniture. The power went in the night and had change roos. I think the electrics were faulty because of again lack of maintenance. I had to m ove rooms because it was dark and dangerous. At 2:30 am i moved. It only affected my room and the stairs so it has to be very poor maintenance. The rooms need a good update in the whole hotel though.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. It was very clean. However, when we checked in we were told we had to pay £10 per night to park in the hotel car park as we had booked via Expedia. Apparently,if we had booked directly with hotel, we could have parked fir free. Not good

Breakfast was excellent. The pool was lovely, spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

1. I don’t understand how this hotel thinks they can provide a shower cubicle that small, I couldn't even lift my arms without touching the sides, it is unacceptable! 2. The bedroom doors do not have soft close, so you hear other people's bedroom doors slamming shut from inside your room. 3. The mattress is very old and should be replaced asap. 4. The furniture in bedroom was old. I will never stay at this hotel again, I'm glad I only booked one night.

Probably THE best staff team I have ever encountered, all of them were super friendly and accommodating. Facilities a bit tired and some parts need a good deep clean, otherwise all positives.

I checked in to a tiny box room. They kindly moved me. But the next room was no better. There were no toiletries. No iron. No fridge. I couldn’t get in the door with my luggage. The water was so hot I could t have a shower. The duvet was flat and old. The room looked straight into someone’s apartment. There are much nicer hotels nr by. I asked to get a refund and check out. Sadly this was not an option.

I have stayed at The Pentire before and as ever the staff are lovely , friendly & very accommodating. The rooms are clean , bed was comfy and tea / coffee provided. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. The only things I would mention is maybe it’s time for a paint job in some rooms and corridors. Lots of chips out of the woodwork here & there & looking a bit shabby. The en-suite was cramped and very little room between the shower, wash basin & loo. Location is good for us but Pentire is quite a walk from the town centre and may not suit some holidaymakers.

We had a wonderful stay st The Pentire Hotel. Staff were wonderful. Bedroom clean and nicely decorated. Food really good. The swimming pool was big and water just right temperature.
