Stayed here for two nights (Sunday–Tuesday). After reading the previous reviews, we actually tried to switch hotels because of the noise complaints, but unfortunately couldn’t. We figured, “It’s a Sunday and Monday night, how bad could it really be?” but the noise was honestly unbelievable.
The live band across the street played at full volume until 5:00 a.m. Earplugs, noise-cancelling headphones, none of them made a difference. You could hear everything. Traffic sounding like it was inside the room, people walking by in flip-flops, multiple songs competing from the reception area, the upstairs restaurant, and the bars across the street. Our room faced the street, so that may have made it worse. The hotel has tried to help with a sliding door sound barrier, but unfortunately it didn’t reduce much noise at all.
The room itself was decent. Good size with a smart TV, balcony, and standard amenities. The bathroom, however, was extremely cramped. I’m 5’3” and 115 lbs, and I had to stand partly in the shower just to brush my teeth comfortably. There was also a noticeable sewer smell throughout the bathroom.
On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent with lots of options and surprisingly the first place in Peru where we were served more than one egg! You can also order additional breakfast items for a reasonable price.
The location was okay: not too far from the main square, but it’s on a very busy street. Honestly, if it weren’t for the noise, this probably would have been a fantastic stay. If you do book here, I’d strongly recommend requesting a room away from the street or going to party with the band itself.
