old hotel...needs renovation...come home itchy

Christmas holiday in 2025 stayed at this hotel, easy access, cool and beautiful atmosphere, coincidentally there were few people staying so parking was available, in the morning breakfast was provided but unfortunately only rice and noodles were available without side dishes, if I had known this would have bought side dishes outside, but everything was quite good

The room is clean and comfortable. Nice atmosphere with swimming pool.

The bedroom door was hard to lock, making my family and I feel uncomfortable. The pool's cleanliness needs to be improved. The AC wasn't cold enough.

The Grand Palm Hotel in Pematang Siantar is a classy hotel with a great value. I booked a superior king-bed room online for 372,000 Rupiah, and I think it was well worth it. The room was comfortable, with fast Wi-Fi, and two bottles of mineral water, along with sachets of sugar, tea, and coffee were provided. The only downsides were the bathroom—the shower head was a bit low, and the night air was quite quiet (perhaps comfortable for some, but for those who prefer a lively atmosphere, it was a bit too quiet). The hotel has a garden that creates a cool and relaxing atmosphere, and a swimming pool, which is a plus. It's strategically located in the city center, close to coffee shops and the Siantar Zoo. I was quite satisfied with breakfast, as in addition to the main course, there were also snacks like sliced fruit, fried snacks, and cakes. Overall, this is a perfect hotel for a comfortable stay in the city center with complete amenities.

The hotel staff is friendly & accommodating, plus the hotel is very beautiful with a beautiful natural feel.

The hotel is actually nice, except the toilet doesn't flush. And the bed sheets are itchy, like there are bed bugs.

The service is quite good, only the condition of the hotel needs to be improved, especially the facilities for hotel guests.

It's good, and quite quiet, and close to everywhere.

More improvements for cleanliness and comfort for hotel guests

The FO staff are a bit grumpy, but the cute little ones are friendly. The housekeeping is good. The breakfast is better a la carte than buffet lol The pool is dirty The rooms are so-so, there are rooms where the AC is not cold, it seems 105, and the cupboard doesn't close The plus is that it's close, you can walk It's right in front of Siantar Zoo The air is cool The fish pond could be cleaned a bit

Hopefully the service will be further improved in the future

The quality of the guesthouse is not a hotel, the rooms and bathrooms are dirty.

The hotel staff is friendly, the food is delicious even though it takes time to refill, the atmosphere is quite good and comfortable, the swimming pool is okay even though the cleanliness still needs to be improved, I don't regret staying here, it is recommended, the price and quality are balanced.

The toilet is broken, the water is small, it takes a long time to wait for it to heat up, the TV channels are intermittent, disappointing.

The breakfast price does not match the menu.

Hotelnya lama, perlu renovasi dan kolam renang perlu diperbaiki dan lingkungan hotel perlu dibersihkan tiap hari, sayang kalau tidak dibersihkan, lokasi sangat bagus dan asri.

Lokasi hotel cukup strategis karena berada di tengah kota, namun jalan akses masuk ke hotel cukup macet. Di depan hotel ada Kebun Binatang, di belakang Jalan Merdeka dan Jalan Sutomo. Resepsionis rada-rada muka rata, mungkin lagi banyak kerjaannya 😅. Satu lagi, di pintu masuk nggak ada security-nya. Lanjut masuk ke kamar, agak-agak bermasalah dengan kunci ruangan, terus TV-nya nggak bisa dipakai, namun jaringan Wi-Fi cukup kencang. Lumayanlah menggantikan TV yang nggak bisa digunakan. Bathroom luas, air panas berfungsi namun nggak maksimal, yang penting bisa agak-agak panas saja. Kadang bermasalah dengan flush toilet. Di depan kamar ada kolam ikan, sayang sekali kurang terawat, banyak lumut. Kasihan ikannya 😄. Breakfast overall good, untuk service hotel di daerah Siantar sudah cukup baguslah sarapannya. Kolam renang sepertinya kurang terawat, air nggak jernih jadi segan awak mau berenang 🤥. Perlu dibenahi beberapa fasilitas di dalam kamar dan hospitality karyawannya supaya lebih ramah, atau mungkin perlu diberikan kenaikan gaji 😂.

Hotelnya sepi, kunci kamar bisa di buka dari luar. Toilet bau.
