The room is clean and spacious, suggestion that the 2-2 lift can be used.

We arrived at the hotel at 2:00 PM, but our room wasn't ready because we chose a room on the 6th floor. We checked in at 3:30 PM and were compensated for late check-out until 1:30 PM. We were also upgraded to a sea view room (taplau). We waited while having lunch at the restaurant. We ordered a pizza and were very disappointed because it took so long to arrive and when it arrived, it wasn't fully cooked. We complained and had to get a new one. We waited even longer, but the pizza was still disappointing. The restaurant apologized and didn't let us pay when we went to pay. It's very close to the beach (taplau). We arrived in less than a 5-minute walk. The hotel's facilities, such as the prayer room and gym, are excellent. However, the swimming pool needs improvement. When we went to swim in the morning, there was no one on standby with towels, and it wasn't clear where to return them. The poolside chairs weren't ready and were still wet from the rain the night before. We had to ask the staff to clean them before everything was ready. The breakfast menu is very varied, especially with West Sumatran specialties. However, the taste was rather bland. The availability of cooks in the egg and pancake/waffle sections should be increased, as there is only one cook who handles all the eggs and pancakes/waffles, resulting in long queues and long waits. The in-room facilities should be re-examined, as the telephone in the room apparently didn't work due to a loose cable, requiring repeated re-checking of the connection before using the phone.

The hotel was generally very nice, the view was also nice. but the service was too good for me because I was alone at breakfast. While I went to get other meals, the whole table was cleared away and other people were sitting there, which was quite inconvenient. I wish they would make some kind of effort to make things more understandable for each other. Thank you.

The 2 most memorable things about this hotel, getting a room that requires a fairly long walk and getting 2 cards (other hotels only give 1 card). The room size is standard, there is a lot of soap and shampoo (better than Santika which only gives shampoo and soap in small tubes), there is a smart TV, there is a comfortable sofa, there are many breakfast choices and there is ice cream too and the restaurant view is directly to the swimming pool, beautiful and comfortable. One of the hotels in Padang that I will visit again 🤗

The check-in process was smooth... The room atmosphere was comfortable and not noisy.

Nearby the ocean, so you can easily take a walk enjoying a breezy morning. Many foods surrounding with very good taste. My room heading ocean view, makes a sunset view beautiful while zipping afternoon tea. Hotel area very clean and cozy, definitely shall come back.

I liked the hotel's location, which was close to the beach, so I could take a morning walk there. Unfortunately, the beach wasn't clean, and there were vendors selling food. Besides the location, the hotel's cleanliness is commendable. The rooms and bathrooms were also spotless, making for a memorable stay.

The staff were super helpful with handling my surfboards. Check-in took only a couple of minutes, which was great after a long day of flying.

The location is strategic, close to the beach (walkable), and my room also had an ocean view. The staff was very friendly. We were also given early check-in (1:30 PM). The food in the restaurant is varied, comprehensive, and delicious. If I ever go back to Padang, I will definitely stay at the Mercure again.

We have a good experience with the hotel staffs. I also need to give acknowledges to the chef of the restaurant, the food taste are exceptional. Have a good presentation but still have authentic taste of Minang food. The only disappointment we experienced is how the local villagers have an event until 4AM and they using a sound system with volume level that could make normal person deaf. Please coordinate with local authority and police so they can be have event but respect others too.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and the staff are friendly. Book a deluxe ocean view room and get a free upgrade to a junior suite. This hotel is highly recommended.
