I stayed at The Villa Langkawi for 3 days and 2 nights. The room was spacious, which was nice, but overall my experience was not very satisfying.
There were noises at night that sounded like rats running and scratching on the walls and not soundproof rooms. The corridor outside often had lizard droppings and was slippery because it was near the pool, so staff had to frequently mop the area to keep it safe. Management should also provide floor mats outside rooms facing the pool, so guests can wipe their feet before entering the rooms to avoid wet and slippery floors. The WiFi unfortunately did not work throughout our stay.
During check-out, we had to wait for the staff to check the room before they returned the deposit — this was the first time I experienced this, as other 4-5 star hotels usually don’t require it. Extra mattresses were charged per night, not one-time, and no shower gel was provided (fortunately I brought my own). There was also only one small packet each of coffee, tea, and sugar provided which felt quite stingy for a villa stay.
Reception staff could be more friendly and welcoming. Overall, I was not satisfied with the villa's management and will not return to stay here.
