I stayed at the Horison Aziza Solo and overall, I had a pleasant experience. The hotel still has a strong Sharia (Islamic) feel, evident in the prayer equipment in the rooms and the recitation of Quranic verses in the public areas, creating a serene atmosphere.
The location is quite strategic, about 10 minutes from Solo Balapan Station. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, equipped with fast Wi-Fi and a Smart TV for watching YouTube and other entertainment.
The hotel provides a free water jug and water dispenser in the hallway, which I think is a good initiative. However, the dispenser is located at the end of the hallway, making it a bit far from the room if you're in the middle of the corridor.
Breakfast offers a wide selection, with a predominantly Indonesian menu, and the food is quite tasty. I also tried the room service Horison Fried Rice and Aziza Platter, which were both reasonably priced and satisfying.
It's worth noting that some of the breakfast items felt a bit cold due to the use of a heating lamp. Furthermore, the room's soundproofing could be improved, as noise from outside can still be heard.
With a fairly affordable price, overall Horison Aziza Solo remains a comfortable and worthwhile hotel choice for staying in Solo.
