Clean room with great staff

Clean rooms, very comfortable beds, friendly staff, and felt safe there. Nice view of the water.

Due to a flight cancellation, I extended my stay here. The experience worsened. After the 3 AM flood, I was moved to a room as an "upgrade." It had two twin beds pushed together, creating an uncomfortable sleep surface. I found cigarette butts under furniture, and the towels were worn with holes. My key repeatedly failed, forcing trips to the front desk. The only positive was one apologetic desk agent. Management remained completely unreachable throughout my ordeal and I’m still waiting for the promised refund. The inconsistency in service and room conditions are unacceptable. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a basic, functional, and respectful accommodation.

My stay at King Christian Hotel began with zero information at check-in regarding hotel amenities or the benefit of the Hotel on the Cay. The first room had a completely broken AC unit. I was moved to a second room where the AC's severe condensation created a mold-like stain on the ceiling, contradicting the "newly upgraded" claims. The room conditions were poor. The low point occurred at 3 AM when a burst pipe flooded the hallway. The cleanup was incredibly loud, destroying any chance of sleep. The maintenance staff's attitude was sarcastic and dismissive; when I inquired about the noise, one employee (white, long hair) was rude. By 7AM, I had no water at all. Despite multiple attempts via call and text, the hotel manager never responded to my complaints. This experience, marked by neglect and poor maintenance, was utterly unacceptable and not worth any star. This hotel is severely mismanaged. The physical property is poorly maintained, and there is a profound lack of training in basic customer service and empathy for guests. The experience was deplorable from start to finish. The few courteous staff members are undermined by a culture of indifference and a management team that is completely unreachable.

The air conditioner in our room made a loud chirping noise. We had to turn it off at night in order to sleep. There was also a musty smell in the room. Very disappointing!

I had an amazing stay!!! The room was immaculate and up to date. Also close to everything. I don't want try another hotel!

Delightful visit! Came for work, but hope to return for fun. Wonderful vibe - old school, relaxed, hip, with a scenic location, fabulous adult pool, and friendly crew. Morning breakfast options (and outstanding coffee the way [any]one likes it), outrageous ice cream, and a fun and friendly bar (not necessarily in that order:)) all within the footprint of the beautifully restored property. A great reason in and of itself to return to STX ASAP! (Tried affiliate properly Waves too… this hotelier knows what he’s doing!! All good!)

The room was not very nice and the bed was not comfortable. A lot of wierd steps and doors in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the King. So many amenities nearby and a beautiful view from our room. The staff was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff seemed bothered we asked questions. Like a maze with no clear direction to your room. Spent 45 minutes going up and down stairs.

Staff was friendly and the suite was very nice. They gave you pool towels to use at the beach across the cay, as well as free passage on the water taxi to/from the cay to use the beach! Everything was wonderful!

King Christian Hotel was in a perfect location to walk to nearby restaurants, shops, and activities. The view from our balcony and from the public deck was beautiful! The cleaning staff were friendly and Julanna, at the front desk, was amazing to work with to solve a small hiccup. Some front desk staff were not as welcoming. We would definitely return to King Christian and would recommend it highly to other guests! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nice place to relax and enjoy the ocean. The staff was more business orientated that customer satisfaction.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, amazing location.

The daily cleaning was very very late so we had to keep asking for fresh towels and then wait 2 hours for them to come. The bathroom really needs a mirror and the shower wall was too short so the floor was constantly a puddle.
