Beautiful hotel with great decor.

lovely building, great breakfast, our standart room was a little small. no elevators; you have to carry your luggages yourself/we were lucky to have arrived not at an older age☺️✌️

Room was immaculate, Staff very helpful and always available. Breakfast was amazing with good quality products and presentation. The bar is small but fits well into the environment. Bar staff willing to provide requests such as cocktails not on the bar list. 😁

This was a beautiful stay, immaculate room and facilities and quiet, peaceful with heritage and charm. Would recommend!

My room was absolutely lovely! It had a little sitting nook that looked out at Arthur’s Seat. The staff was very friendly and super helpful! The location is right by public transport. My room was ready when I arrived quite early! My only complaint was that they’d run out of venison at the restaurant, and only part of the bathroom floor is heated. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic staff great hotel

Beautiful hotel on university grounds a stone throw away from the Royal Mile with great bus connections. Staff were really polite and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived to when we left. Our room was spacious but cozy, with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at The Scot. The location was perfect. Walking distance to The Royal Mile, Edinborough Castle, Holyrood Palace, and Arthur's Seat.

Very cozy stay at the castle ! Nice that it was a bit further away from all the hassle. Good breakfast and very lovely staff. Bed was really good to sleep in. And loved that there was this Holyrood park close by where you could hike to see the whole city of Edinburgh! Only minus that of course because it is an old building it was quite cold inside the room but plus is I slept very well because of that :) highly recommend staying at this beautiful castle!

Exceptional hotel! Food is outstanding staff fantastic, location perfect! Rooms are lovely with great facilities and attention to detail is spot on! A relaxing boutique hotel that I will definitely book again!

It’s a bit far from the old town, but it’s such a beautiful place that it’s totally worth it. The breakfast is fantastic, and you can even enjoy a whiskey tasting with one of their specialists. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.
