The front desk staff were emotionless but nice. The room was clean but needed work! Loved the restaurant attached!

While the staff were pleasant and friendly, the room had a few issues. It was uncomfortably hot in the room and had some issues with cleanliness (the floor was a little dirty and there were a few hairs from previous guests). Another big issue was the bathroom. The switch to turn the bathroom light on also turns the light in the main room on, so if two people share a room they either need to wake up the other person with the light or use the bathroom in the dark. The sink was in the main hotel room instead of the bathroom. It was old and loud so anytime it was used during the night it would wake up anyone else sharing the room. It might have been an okay experience for a single person on a budget using the room, but I wouldn’t recommend it for two or more people.

Bed was comfortable. The attached restaurant had good food but closes at 7:00 (kitchen at 6:30). It was fairly clean but very outdated. Still using those nasty bedspreads that are laundered occasionally. At check out the front desk will come and “inspect” the room (which was just weird) before the $100 incidentals fee is returned

Had to request a change of rooms because the toilet was plugged in the first. They sent 2 girls up with a plunger to unclog it. Next flush it still didn’t work. Moved to another room that appeared unused for quite sometime. Flooring was cracked, no extras little blow dryer or microwave and after the second day the coffee marker stopped working which was ok because they didn’t bring more coffee. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was good, everything in Halifax was booked or very expensive.

Really clean for an older building. Could use some maintenance one balcony leg was being held up by a hydraulic jack. The shower head leaked a bit. And there was no where in the bathroom to hang a towel or set clothes ( this is mostly a problem if staying in the room your not comfortable being in a towel in front of ) Quiet location, attached restaurant is pretty yummy. Overall not a bad stay for a night or so.

Do not book here it was awful. No spoke English or French. Alan went off at 343 am as some was using shower. Opulent get my deposit back immediately as no one when we checked out at 730 next day

Wonderful motel, very clean, staff very friendly, answered all questions and helped. The bathroom was a bit dated, and the beds were soft. Otherwise, we were satisfied. Thank you.

The rooms are exceptionally well kept, the staff is amazing. Don’t misjudge this place, just by the exterior and lack of update of paint.

Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The staff were professional, polite and friendly. The restaurant was clean and the food was good. It seemed to be a favorite spot to eat for the community also. The price was very reasonable and the Inn was centrally located close to all attractions.

Unfortunately one of the most run down places I’ve ever stayed. There’s exactly zero sound proofing so my first evening there I woke up from my nap to someone having very loud sex, and you can hear every word of anyone’s conversation anywhere around you. The beds are also hard as a rock, and I found them very uncomfortable and hard to sleep on. For reference, I laid down on the hardwood floor at one point and couldn’t tell the difference. Also, if you shower for too long then the smoke detector goes off and won’t shut off, as the shut-off button is broken. The location is nice, but unfortunately I would skip out on this location in the future for my own sake.

The location itself was accessible to best spots in Halifax. Staff are approachable and easy to ask help.

We stayed for four nights. Room wasn’t cleaned even after we spoke to the desk about it. It was finally cleaned on our last day (beds made, towels restocked) but room wasn’t vacuumed. We got a 10% discount by asking for it but would definitely not recommend this hotel.

The establishment is older but it’s clean, comfortable and close to downtown. It was great for me going to the hospital. And the restaurant was excellent as always.

Black mould in the shower, TVs didn’t work, wood stairs falling apart, drive way very bumpy and uneven
