I booked a double room for 3 people, set the filter to "with airport pick-up" and "with breakfast". From dozens of hotels, the filter only left 7 hotels, and I chose this place for 1,340k/day. But in the end, there was no airport pick-up, I had to take a taxi back to the hotel myself, because according to the hotel, I "had to notify the hotel in advance and pay an additional fee" (the next day I went to the airport to return, the hotel called a taxi and I paid an additional 150k for one way). This is the first time I encountered this situation (for example, Nicobar hotel and some hotels I booked before, they proactively called to ask for the time and picked me up for free). As for breakfast, one of the reasons I chose it was because the image on traveloka was a buffet with a rich and beautiful menu. However, in reality, there was none. When I chose Pho and oppla bread, they told me to let the kitchen make it and bring it out. It was really a very bad experience, I felt like I was cheated. I was not going to write but felt the need to share so you can learn from my experience.

First, regarding my booking. Before booking through an online booking site, I contacted the hotel and received detailed information about their services, particularly the paid transfer service. After some discussion, I decided to book through the booking platform. Since my room was cross-sold on Traveloka through another platform, I was unable to provide the hotel's contact information (such as a phone number), and the hotel was unable to contact or send me a message after booking. If you would like more information about this issue, please contact Traveloka's customer service team.
Second, regarding the airport transfer service, the hotel provided details about the price and services but did not answer my question about whether I would like to use the service. The hotel does not offer a shuttle service, but is working with the transfer service provider to resolve this issue. Because they did not provide information such as pick-up time and contact information, the hotel was unable to book a pick-up service from the airport (13 kilometers from the city center). Shuttle services are usually available on the island, but other hotels include them in the room rate and offer them for free. However, Velar Hotel does not offer a shuttle service, but offers it separately, allowing guests to choose the most suitable rate. I compared prices of other hotels that do and do not offer a free shuttle service. and clearly understand the differences.
Thirdly, I would like to clarify the issue regarding the hotel's breakfast service. We sincerely apologize for the incomplete information on the room sales platform, including insufficient contact information, which made it difficult to provide information. Velar Hotel offers two types of breakfast: buffet and a la carte. When there are sufficient guests, we serve a buffet. When there are fewer guests, we serve a la carte to avoid food waste and to provide better service to each guest. Due to the high tourist volume on Koh Kong Dao during the off-season, the hotel is unable to offer a buffet. Regarding the quality and quantity of the breakfast menu, if you are not satisfied with the food items, the hotel is happy to compensate.
