This is my second time staying here. The hotel is clean. The day I stayed coincided with renovations, so it was a bit noisy! The reception staff were very helpful in assisting me with any lost items I left at the hotel.

I booked a double room for 3 people, set the filter to "with airport pick-up" and "with breakfast". From dozens of hotels, the filter only left 7 hotels, and I chose this place for 1,340k/day. But in the end, there was no airport pick-up, I had to take a taxi back to the hotel myself, because according to the hotel, I "had to notify the hotel in advance and pay an additional fee" (the next day I went to the airport to return, the hotel called a taxi and I paid an additional 150k for one way). This is the first time I encountered this situation (for example, Nicobar hotel and some hotels I booked before, they proactively called to ask for the time and picked me up for free). As for breakfast, one of the reasons I chose it was because the image on traveloka was a buffet with a rich and beautiful menu. However, in reality, there was none. When I chose Pho and oppla bread, they told me to let the kitchen make it and bring it out. It was really a very bad experience, I felt like I was cheated. I was not going to write but felt the need to share so you can learn from my experience.

We appreciate your understanding and hope the hotel will correct the information to avoid any misunderstandings with other guests. First, regarding my booking. Before booking through an online booking site, I contacted the hotel and received detailed information about their services, particularly the paid transfer service. After some discussion, I decided to book through the booking platform. Since my room was cross-sold on Traveloka through another platform, I was unable to provide the hotel's contact information (such as a phone number), and the hotel was unable to contact or send me a message after booking. If you would like more information about this issue, please contact Traveloka's customer service team. Second, regarding the airport transfer service, the hotel provided details about the price and services but did not answer my question about whether I would like to use the service. The hotel does not offer a shuttle service, but is working with the transfer service provider to resolve this issue. Because they did not provide information such as pick-up time and contact information, the hotel was unable to book a pick-up service from the airport (13 kilometers from the city center). Shuttle services are usually available on the island, but other hotels include them in the room rate and offer them for free. However, Velar Hotel does not offer a shuttle service, but offers it separately, allowing guests to choose the most suitable rate. I compared prices of other hotels that do and do not offer a free shuttle service. and clearly understand the differences. Thirdly, I would like to clarify the issue regarding the hotel's breakfast service. We sincerely apologize for the incomplete information on the room sales platform, including insufficient contact information, which made it difficult to provide information. Velar Hotel offers two types of breakfast: buffet and a la carte. When there are sufficient guests, we serve a buffet. When there are fewer guests, we serve a la carte to avoid food waste and to provide better service to each guest. Due to the high tourist volume on Koh Kong Dao during the off-season, the hotel is unable to offer a buffet. Regarding the quality and quantity of the breakfast menu, if you are not satisfied with the food items, the hotel is happy to compensate. The breakfast menu includes a variety of main courses, side dishes, desserts, fruits, and drinks. Thank you for choosing Velar Hotel. We will do our best to meet your needs.

The hotel is in the center, convenient for traveling. The staff is enthusiastic and cute. The hotel is new, clean, and the rooms are beautiful. There is a convenient airport shuttle service. The food at the hotel is delicious and tasty, but the buffet has a few dishes. There are some cute cats outside the hotel :))))

Firstly, regarding the breakfast issue, the hotel would like to confirm that this is an error of the booking system and the hotel is ready to provide meals to you at the room rate without breakfast as an apology for this unavoidable incident. Regarding the second issue, the number of guests you booked. The number of guests will affect the room price when booking on the online booking system, the actual number of guests that I booked was 1, so the room price was automatically reduced to suit my needs. But when I arrived at the hotel, the actual number of people was larger, so the hotel suggested a surcharge for this guest. This is what the hotel must do to ensure fairness for other guests, as well as have additional costs to bring the best services to me. It is completely normal for me to book a room with 1 large bed for 2 people for 1 person to stay, so it is incorrect for you to tell the hotel that you booked 1 but the room for 2 people can accommodate 2 people. Friendly staff, 3 cute cats. Clean room. Near the beach, convenient for swimming. We rented a motorbike to go around the center, it was quite close. In the evening, I bought things at the night market and came back to the room to eat and watch Netflix, it was also very chill. I didn't have a Netflix account so I had to log in to my own account. The hotel should invest in a Netflix account for guests, it would be better.
