From the outside it looks run down and the bar area also might not appeal to everyone BUT the people where lovely the staff the locals in the bar it's just a inn / pub with rooms BUT the room was big the bed huge for me as a solo traveler I'd say it was king or queen saved not just a double. Iv stayed in places at double the price with half as much space so was made up with the room and the breakfast they had a buffet section with loads of stuff to eat and drink then a cooked breakfast I went with a full English if I'm being critical it took awhile and the elements that were pre prepared were slightly over done but still edible not burnt to a crisp just a very well cooked sausage let's just say but all in all for £6 extra no need to grumble and as I say you could have had anything you wanted for breakfast plus the buffet of juices and pot style filter coffee and pods and cereal for the price it's great exactly what I needed after cycling John o groats to lands end and needing to wait over night for a train

Well priced accommodation and walking distance to Penzance and St Michael’s Mount. Bus service nearby is brilliant.

I've given this a five star review because although the rooms are fairly basic, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good, and the location is brilliant. You're a 5 minute walk from the beach and there's a bus route right outside the hotel that can take you direct to Penzance, Marazion and St Ives (and I'm sure elsewhere, but that's all we managed). It's also incredibly good value for money. So don't expect the Ritz but for what you pay this is a really great place to stay.

Noisy at night due to the pub. Room very small with tiny sink. No servicing of room for second day. Smell (but not in the room) of old cooking oil ) more of a guest house not a hotel. Parking ok. Tea coffee etc in room was fine. Didn’t use the bar or have breakfast due to smell.

Simple check in process, parking spaces and amenities. We were tired after a long journey and car troubles. It really helped that check in and check out process was super easy.

The hotel is well situated on the main road in Long Rock with parking. It was a good price with breakfast. There's a bus stop nearby for buses to Penzance, St Ives, Truro etc. The hotel has a bar for residents and locals. The room was basic but clean with a comfortable bed, tea/coffee supplies, a small wall mounted TV and a sink. The staff were friendly and helpful. I booked through Hotels.com and it wasn't obvious that the bathrooms are shared, in fact there's no mention of it. I did book a 'basic twin room' and I expected an en suite, although for the price I paid, maybe that was a stretch. The downside of being on the main is a lot of traffic noise. The wifi wouldn't connect in the room but it did downstairs in the bar.

I loved my stay at this hotel! Room 2 is a corner room with 3 huge bright windows( my favorite part of my room). Don't worry there are black out curtains for when it gets dark! The bed was comfy. There is made to order breakfast and continental selections too. And there is parking! The lot is a little tight but what a treat. You can walk to St. Michael's Mount. This hotel is a little far from downtown Penzance, but if you are driving it's no biggie. Close to two huge grocery stores, too. My only complaint was the kitchen was out of napkins for two days of my stay and the shower was either scaulding hot or freezing cold in rounds. The people are so nice and the price is right. I would 100% stay here again.
