A school holiday staycation for the kids and family to create memories for them before the new school year begins. We started our island-hopping vacation first, departing from Banjarmasin city to Surabaya. This holiday rhythm was a little different, as it required many adjustments to the original plan. This was because we had elderly and less fit parents, as well as a baby under 1 year old and two other children. Initially, we were confused about choosing accommodation at the KHAS Hotel or nearby, but it turned out there was a closer hotel to start the holiday with a pilgrimage to Sunan Ampel, specifically at FRONT ONE EMIRATES HOTEL. This hotel is nice and almost 100% similar to the photos. The hotel is new so it's still clean and fresh. The look is elegant and modern, although on the second floor you end up with a rooftop view, hehe. But this hotel is very quickly booked, make sure to book through a similar app before extending manually. The staff and everyone are friendly, kind, and smiley. The food is delicious and even if you don't have breakfast, there are lots of food vendors around the hotel, affordable and cheap. Swarma Khan Kebab and other Middle Eastern specialties. The hotel is child-friendly, minimalist, elegant, and clean. There were a few small mosquitoes in the bathroom, but that's okay because they weren't too bothersome. Wi-Fi and water were excellent. Access was easy, and the staff even provided travel advice to Malang. If I go to Surabaya again, I'll definitely come back here. Hopefully, it continues to grow and be consistent. Keep it up. If I could add another 4-5 days, I'd really like to, and next time, God willing, I'll be able to stay longer.
