— Half-Day Tours —

Uluru Morning Guided Base Walk

Wake up bright and early for a sunrise walk around the base of Uluru. Then set off on the Mala Walk and step through a habitation area that has been sacred to the Anangu for thousands of years. Stop off at Kantju Gorge, where you can see the breathtaking sight of rainwater cascading over the side of Uluru. After a short break, continue on along the Lungkata Walk before heading to the Mutitjulu Waterhole to look at Aboriginal rock paintings and hear many traditional stories relating to this special place.

Please note that all your belongings must be carried for the duration of the 12-km walk; please ensure you bring only what you are capable of carrying.

Kata Tjuta Sunrise and Valley of the Winds Walk

Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and learn about the geological history of the area. Witness the spectacular sunrise over Kata Tjuta and spot Uluru in the distance. After a light breakfast, go on a guided 2- to 3-hour walk to the Valley of the Winds lookout. Marvel at the unique flora and admire the views of the domes of Kata Tjuta. Depending on the time spent walking, this tour may return to Ayers Rock Resort after midday.

Please note that a moderate level of fitness is required to complete the Valley of the Winds walk.

Kata Tjuta Sunset

Enjoy a leisurely drive out to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) for one of the best sunset experiences in Central Australia. Learn about the geological and cultural history of the area as you take in the magnificent outback sunset. Snack on canapés and sip on Australian wine. Return to Ayers Rock Resort about an hour after sunset.

Uluru Sunset

Travel from Ayers Rock Resort to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Enjoy snacks and a complimentary glass of wine as you watch the sun sink over the western horizon. Try to photograph Uluru every five minutes, and see how the iconic formation gradually changes color like magic. Return to the resort after sunset or choose to enjoy an award-winning barbecue dinner to top off this evening at your own expense.

— Full-Day Tour —

Kings Canyon & Outback Panoramas

Travel to Kings Canyon from Ayers Rock Resort and stop for breakfast at Kings Creek Station (included) along the way. Climb to the rim of the canyon for marvelous views of Watarrka National Park. Stop to look down into the canyon gorge and marvel at the breathtaking sights. Choose to descend into the green oasis of the 'Garden of Eden' circuit walk, or take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor.

Please note that the circuit walk takes approximately 3 hours to complete and is rocky and steep in parts. It is recommended for those with a good level of fitness. The tour returns to Ayers Rock Resort after lunch (own your own expense).
