The Koala Express is an express boat to the oldest and largest Koala Sanctuary in the world and is a “must do” experience while in Brisbane.  Join this fun ride on the Brisbane River, through the city’s most historic landscapes, iconic attractions, historical home sites and interesting wildlife habitats.

The tour commences from the Cultural Centre Pontoon, South Bank at 11am for a quick 40 minute boat ride to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. While cruising on the river, the captain will slow down to point out a number of iconic places and you will have an opportunity to take some photos. You will arrive at Lone Pine at 11.40am which giving you 2.5 hours to explore the sanctuary before departing Lone Pine at 2pm for a quick trip back to the city. You will arrive back into the city between 2.30pm and 2.40pm.   

There are many Australian Native Animals at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, including over 130 koalas. Get up close and personal to feed the kangaroos and wallabies in the 5 acre reserve. Discover the Platypus House, watch a sheep dog show and check out the owls and sea eagles soar above you at the popular Raptor Show. 

This is a great choice of tour if you do not have a lot of time in Brisbane but still want to experience a river cruise to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. The tour also includes entry into the Sanctuary. The Koala Express is a more interesting and fun alternative to travel to Lone Pine.
