This was a very special find, with off street parking, and walking distance to everything. The room was so beautiful, with lovely bed and beautiful bathroom, and the staff and general feel was so welcoming. When I come back for another visit, I will stay again, highly recommended.

It was a great central location, be sure to have a coffee and yummy home cooked Greek food for breakfast or lunch down the next corner at the Flying Sparrow. Excellent coffee!!

The room was smallish but value for money- clean, quiet and the shower I could have stayed under all day!! We didn't see a staff member as arrived late and out the door reasonably early. But Gordon gave an excellent check in procedure and no problems at all. Parking at rear was good. Proximity to CBD a bonus.

The Art Hotel surprised us. It worked out well for our trip. It was next to the Catholic church, which was important for the lenten season and it surprised us. It was on a busy street, but very walkable, markets, the gorge, restaurants and downtown.
It has a short check-in time which surprised us too. There was a call number to get the key for our room. We had minimal interactions with the staff.

The Art Hotel is conveniently located in Launceston within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and Cataract Gorge Park. Staff is friendly and welcoming, but only onsite from 9 - 6, Mo - Fr, and 10 - 4 on weekends. The rooms are fairly basic and well-worn but mostly clean (despite minor carpet stains, shower corner mold, and A/C lint). Onsite parking is available. A breakfast box is offered for AUD 15. Overall, an inexpensive three-star hotel for guests that value location over luxury.
