Great location in the heart of Queens St mall. We were there over Anzac day so the only thing to note is that the streets are closed on that day from 9am to 3pm so it was pretty much impossible to get in or out of the hotel during those hours.

Room was clean, however re-used disposable slippers that had clearly been worn by others was a low point. Sink would not drain, reported in the morning AM and was not attended to, had to ask again PM evening for them to take care of it. Location convenient enough and hotel maintained to good standard. TV was most frustrating - obviously at time of visit World Cup being on free to air - their antenna or signal not strong enough, sometimes picture with sound, sometimes sound no picture so that was also very disappointing.

Very disappointing stay and certainly not worth the money paid. We were allocated Room 505, which overlooked the canopy roof and was subjected to loud music from the moment we checked in. The level of noise was unacceptable for a hotel room and significantly impacted our comfort and ability to relax. The most concerning issue occurred during the night when we were abruptly woken by a voice announcement in our room instructing guests to evacuate due to a fire alarm. There were no audible alarm bells, which only added to the confusion. Before we had even managed to fully comprehend the situation, a second announcement informed us that it was a false alarm. Being disturbed in this manner in the middle of the night completely disrupted what little rest we were able to get. For a stay costing over £100 for a single night, I expected a far higher standard of comfort and guest experience. Between the excessive noise and the overnight disturbance, we left feeling frustrated and disappointed.

The hotel is right in the heart of Queen Street Mall, and everything you need is just a few minutes’ walk away — very convenient!You can park your car at the Uptown shopping complex or use the hotel’s valet parking. The staff are friendly and will park your car for you. Best of all, if you park at Uptown, the hotel offers a discount on the parking ticket.I loved the comfy bed, and having breakfast by the window at Lennard’s restaurant while looking out onto the street was a great way to start the day.I really enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency and will definitely be back!
