The full-time staff there are absolutely brilliant. They go above and beyond to try and make your stay and visit to Thredbo special.. they let me gloves a hat and a toque to go up the mountain with – God did I ever need it! Lovely to see such a diverse group of people under the same roof and would have no hesitation to recommend it as a clean friendly and safe place to stay

Small room and small bathroom but comfortable. Toiletries are provided. Great communal kitchen.

Mountain view

The staff were very friendly. There's a great atmosphere around the lodge.

Julie the manager was very helpful, staying up past office closing to make sure we had no problems on our late arrival.

Great view ad so convenient for walkers. They could have doe with more staff.

Excellent place. Convenient access to the rest of the village, place was clean with nice showers, a comfortable living/dining room, and still quite cheap. The hostess was very nice and responsive and even cooked dinner for all the guests one night. Would highly recommend.

Pretty average for the cost of one night.

Good and affordable option for a one night stay. The room had four beds but only two electric points for four occupants to use. Squeaky door to room unfortunately disturbed sleeping guests - recommend ear plugs and sleeping mask. Beds were comfortable.

Strange experience staying here, and perhaps they were only partially to blame. But, I didn't get any confirmation email / message when I booked the place - I only received this two days after I left, and then I kept receiving a few more messages talking about my "upcoming arrival, etc.". It's an OK place - it doesn't feel the cleanest, the rooms look a bit like prison cells, and the staff are no where to be seen (which kind of exacerbates the feeling of the place being poorly maintained). Also there's no parking at this place, it's a few hundred meters down the road - which isn't the end of the world, but is isn't the most convenient either. Serves its function as a cheap hostel where you can sleep the night.

Good last minute option to stay in thredbo

Was a nice spot, pretty quiet for a hostel. The staff were nice and friendly too.

the hostel cancelled my booking within 24 hours of arrival. Luckily hotel.com found me and paid for alternative accommodation in Jindabyne
