Best Western Hotel am Walserberg

The check-in staff was nice. The AC was not working so the room was very warm. Luckily we could open the windows to make it bearable. The location is not ideal hard to get to from Salzburg.

The room was large, spacious, and cool. The rooftop terrace was gorgeous!

This place is a great place to stop by for an overnight stay. It’s right next to the Shell service station, interconnect with the hotel and there’s an EV charger. The Shell staff, Lajos, was very helpful. There was plenty of food to purchase even after hours. The reception staff, Jakub and Mr. Diaz, were also very kind and helpful. Check-in & out was easy as. The included self-serve breakfast was plenty and over the top. Restaurant has a good vibe to have a pleasant breakfast. The restaurant staff, a younger and a middle-aged man (forgot their names unfortunately) were also very kind and went above and beyond. We didn’t hear the highway traffic at night at all. We had a wonderful stay with our very young children.

​The only positive aspect of our stay was the welcoming receptionist. ​The jacuzzi was out of order, and the air conditioning wasn't working at all! We called the 24/7 front desk, and after the staff member finally understood the issue, he came up only to tell us, "I can't do anything, you'll have to wait until morning." We were left stranded in two overheated rooms with four children and got absolutely no sleep all night. ​The hotel's location feels completely isolated from civilization. Furthermore, everything is wildly overpriced—50% more expensive than Germany or Austria, and even pricier than the airport! A single bottle of water cost €6. ​As Best Western members, we know the brand's standards, and this hotel certainly does not live up to them. I truly hope management reads this and takes immediate action

Reception was highly unfriendly during check-in, keeping me about 15min and asking me about the price I paid for the room in EUR and not providing me with the room key, and not accepting the fact that room was already paid by me as the receipt was showing the CHF amount only. She was very aggressive, even though I stayed calm and repeating multiple times that I habe paid the room already and showing the receipt repeatedly, despite the fact that it was already 2am in the night and I was trying to check in after a 20 hours drive. This was my worst hotel experience ever.

Clean room, kind staff, and English speaking staff was a major bonus : )

convenient for airport difficult to find and a horrible tunnel connecting under road

Hotel and rooms are good, but location is a big minus as it’s completely at the other end of the city where you cannot find any public transport. For a tourist it’s best to avoid this place.

Quiet, convenient, very clean. Its also close enough to everything we wanted to do in the Salzburg area.

Everything was really good about the property except the waiter at the restaurant who charged me 5 euros for a thing of ketchup and 5 euros for a glass of water

Excellent stay with good customer service. Be mindful of the border crossing, which can get quite busy at times. Check your route carefully. Has a Mcdonald's, which is great for a quick bite. Good breakfast at the restaurant too, as well as a decent Schnitzel too!

Room is hot, you have to open the window to get some fresh air, but the noise of the motorists is terrible. Linen, carpet, room, and over all stay it felt like spending night in the hospital. Hotel needs renovation.

This is a low end gas station motel. It is difficult to get to. Nothing special and no positives regarding check in or the stay

The staff was friendly, there was a lot of things in and around the hotel. The pillows were flat and there wasn’t anything spectacular about the room.
