It was a classic Austrian Gasthof/hotel, with a bar and restaurant downstairs. The food was excellent. Parking seemed tight, until we realized there was more along the street. The photo on Travelocity’s website doesn’t do it justice. It was very nice. Breakfast was €15, but generous.

The WiFi was odd because it worked only in the lobby & common restaurant area. You would expect it would be setup more for overnight guests staying the 24 hours or so. Rather than restaurant patrons who were there for maybe 1 or 2 hours. Odd. Otherwise the check in, room, atmosphere, town, and staff, especially & including their service, was 110%.

Enjoyed my night at this quaint, family owned guesthouse. Rooms are a bit dated but very clean and comfortable bed with a gorgeous view! I had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious. The service was also very good. The on-site parking was perfect. Werfen is a adorable town and everything is within walking distance, including the Sound of Music trail which was absolutely stunning!

Excellent staff and a perfect location for trekking in the dramatic mountains and visiting Burg Hohenwerfen, or Salzburg by train on car. The willage of Werfen has a lot to offer as well. Very service minded staff in the resturant, speaking good English and serving excellent food. A very nice owner - What more can you expect.

we have made a bit mistake as the Eisriesenwelt and the Hohenwerfen Castle still on closing period but the staff and the owner were very nice to us. They let us cancel the room and drop us off at the train station. we will definitely come back to stay at this hotel.

Nice hotel thats in the middle of beautiful mountains. Wifi only worked in the lobby which was a bit of a inconvenience but luckily it was also a restaurant so we got to eat while going online. Staff is very nice. About a 15 minute walk from the station.

First off, there is no sign or front desk. I asked a random security guard about the “hotel”. He told me that we had to call the number. After avoiding a few drug pushers in the “lobby” a woman showed up to give us keys to an apartment. Place was very nice except, it’s above several bars with music playing into at least midnight. Best part is construction started at 7am. If you want a nice room, where you can buy crack and not sleep it’s perfect for you.

We love the location and the neighborhood. The area is very peaceful. The hotel itself has a big parking lot. The staff are very friendly. However, it could be nicer if they have provided the kettle. We got the room at the mezzanine floor...the noise from the staircase woke us up but we had a good sleep tho.

We arrived to beautiful Werfen, a quaint town, with several attractions. The hotel had very friendly people with good food and spacious rooms. They were extremely assistive on calling the bus for the ice caves which stopped right in front of hotel. Restaurant was very large for both guests and locals and served very good food.
