Warmly greeted on arrival, with a glass of Prosecco and given a tour of the hotel and all its facilities. The weekend was reasonably busy but the hotel wasn't full so the sauna & steam rooms were freely available. One evening during the week I had the entire spa area to myself. The pool was warm & the hot tub sociable.
The spread at breakfast was amazing, including a juice extractor so that you could prepare your own freshly squeezed orange or veg/fruit juices. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they would cook eggs to your liking upon request.

My family and I took a European vacation trip, and spent only a single night here, as a layover. This was one of the nicest places we stayed during our entire trip. Very friendly and helpful people, with great amenities. One thing that did catch me off guard however, was the "Cleaning Fee" for each room. It was significant. Ask about it, to be perfectly clear on the charge.

So I rented a room here and when I got there he said oh we have to charge you double?? He murmured some words in German not knowing I speak fluent German. I said no way, I reserved on Orbitz, why are you charging me double? He then made a call and said we have your card we will figure it out. The next morning we got up super early to eat breakfast, and right after grabbed our belongings and were on our way to switzerland. The very next night I get a email from one of the managers saying I just disappeared after breakfast and if I do not pay they will call the police??? Like serious? You rob me and then want to call the police?! Horrible customer service and never in my life have I been treated like that!

Website does not make it clear that some rooms are in another building. Apartments were big and nice. Overall a nice stay and a good price. Hotel makes it very easy by charging skies and lift passes to your room bill. Could not ask for a more convenient ski destination.

Our family of five had a wonderful stay in the apartments adjacent to the main hotel. Having a small kitchen was a nice feature, and the amenities at the main hotel (one block away) were enjoyed by all: spa/sauna, play areas, and the meals at the restaurant. Mid-day ice cream, coffee, tea and sodas were also appreciated. The location in the village of Ehrwald was very convenient for walking to the downtown square, supermarket, and walking trails; a rental car was helpful for easily accessing the ski lifts located further away. Staff were all very friendly and helpful – thanks for making our spring ski trip most enjoyable!

Feels like a family-run hotel, with management taking a great interest in their guests. Really great breakfast - too much choice, if that's possible! And dinner was very good too, albeit with a very expensive wine list (find the house wine hidden near the back of the list, it's far cheaper and pretty good). All facilities you could want, and Ehrwald is a pretty village with picturesque main square and good restaurants.
Issues: we stayed in one of the family apartments, where the beds were awful (more tired than we were), and the en-suite had no door (imagine the scene at 3am...). Finally, prepare to PAY a lot of money to use the pools, which as guests in the hotel is surely a worldwide first! Oh yes and no WiFi in the room.

Extremely disappointed! I booked Family suite for 4 person for 3 nights and upon arrival they made me to pay double price + 80 Euros for "cleaning" in advance. They said that I didn't mention that we were 2 adults and 2 children!
So these crooks practically sold the unit again. We have talked to very unfriendly woman who suggested that we can go away if we don't pay again. My kids were very tired after 6 hours drive, so I agreed and paid double price. This was a perfect Racket! As we later found out from other reviews, these crooks did it before to other people as well. Btw, instead of 4 star hotel, we were staying in a separate old building with narrow stairs and old overused furniture! No cleaning at all and not even soap in the bathroom! 2 stars max!

We loved this hotel. Before we had gone to Garmisch but I believe Ehrwald has better views and is not quite as commercialized. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. While I can't remember everyone's name Lucia was especially helpful and went out of her way to make our stay especially enjoyable. I definitely recommend this hotel

We have a large family (five kids) and this was a great place for us. We did some tourist things (Neuschwanstein Castle), hiked up one of the nearby mountains, swam, and ate great food. The kids loved the rooms, the pool, and the buffets. The setting was idllyic. The staff was very helpful and bent over backwards to help us out. We plan to return.

We hadden de dag voordien de ‘bestseller’-aanbieding on-line geboekt om te overnachten tijdens onze terugreis vanuit Italië. Het is een groot in traditionele Tirolerstijl ingericht hotel. De kamer die we kregen was weliswaar heel netjes en voorzien van een eethoek met kitchenette en al, maar de badkamer was erg onpraktisch ingericht en ouderwets. Als er een douche voorzien geweest was in plaats van een onhandig bad, had er genoeg plaats geweest zodat je bij het openen van de deur niet tegen de wc stoot bijvoorbeeld. Het ontbijtbuffet was heel verzorgd en van alles voorzien en het personeel zelf was heel vriendelijk, hulpvaardig en beleefd. Wat ons echter wel stoorde was de stuurse en onvriendelijke dame aan de receptie. Volgens ons vergeet deze dame dat het de hotelgast is die ervoor zorgt dat een hotel kan bestaan waardoor zij kan genieten van wat dit opbrengt, ongeacht of dit nu een gast is die een luxe-suite of een aanbieding geboekt geeft. Zelden zo een desinteresse in de hotelgasten en brute botheid meegemaakt.

Boede i familieværelse der ligger i lejlighedskompleks ca 300 meter væk fra hotellet. Disse værelser er langt fra 4 stjerner og skuffende i forhold til den standard som hotellet ellers anviser. Selve hotellet er superflot og morgenmad rigtig god. Dejlig have og god pool med den flotteste udsigt til bjergene.
