It seems they were doing some up grading in the room as the shower unit had NO door to close. Did not use the amenities as we dined elsewhere in the city.

Liked the large spacious room, fabulous king size bed with good firmness, good shower with good water pressure. Great restaurant (Jack’s) on premises - longer hours would be appreciated. Friendly efficient staff. Very convenient location to downtown St. John’s and plenty of hotels, restaurants, retail stores etc. close drive to this hotel. There is no Room Safe to store valuables. Small fridge and coffee machine (but no kettle for TEA lovers). Parking on the premises but the Kenmount Rd is SUPER busy, would be nice if the city added a traffic light - getting in/out of the hotel can take some time in peak hours. We stayed in Room 414 for 3 nights. Thanks

We spent three nights at the Capital Hotel while in St Johns. We found our room comfortable and the location very convenient. It is close to the mall, numerous restaurants as well. The hotel does have a restaurant that always seemed busy. Which is a good sign. We found parking easy and the hotel staff extremely helpful.
