Great location

I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown. I was able to leave my bags for a few hours prior to check-in, check-in a couple of hours early and leave my bags for almost a full day after check-out. The staff were all very polite and accommodating. Even though I was only there a couple of nights the staff appeared to take the time to remember me. The room was small but well appointed. The bathroom was great. Location is perfect.

Staff were welcoming. Property is conveniently located in the heart of GTA. Located close to a subway station as well.

The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff were kind and attentive. The parking was terrible. I drive a truck and the underground parking lot height does not accommodate large vehicles including SUVs. I had to park in an outdoor lot and it was expensive. The underground lot was also $40 dollars per night. Someone had vomited in the pool, so that was not usable for the entire three days that I was there. The gym is very small and you have to walk along the deck of the pool to get to the gym. Overall I would give this hotel a 7 out of 10. Not great, not terrible, just good and does the job.

The staff are amazing

The windows are paper thin so I heard everything outside. The walls are great. The hallway got a bit noisy from midnight to about 3am on one of three nights, specifically Friday night. Other than that, I had a nice stay.

Didn’t like the restaurant and the food!!

The staff was very helpful but be aware if you’re a light sleeper because the area is very noisy especially if your room faces the street.

Like: Good location. Much quieter than I expected in terms of street noise and hotel noise. Did not like: Someone tried to open my door at about 2:00 a.m. and woke me up. I think it was by mistake because I heard someone in the very next room shortly afterward. However, I did feel somewhat frightened at first and it took me quite a while to get back to sleep. The lobby had a strong perfume smell and I am a fragrance-free person. The room and hotel seemed a little run down, especially the carpets.

Its clean, service is excellent. The only concern is the room is too tight that you cant even drag the luggage to the other side. No remote for the aircon

The hotel has a free breakfast for 2 with your stay. If you need to add to the breakfast you pay a good amount for that. The workers were very polite and fun. Parking is quite expensive per day. There is a large pool, no hot tub. The bedroom had just enough space for one person to walk at a time. Everyone else had to be sitting or move out of the way. Pack lightly, there is pretty much only storage in the closet as the rest of the room is beds and tiny paths. The parking is a bit confusing and very tight as well. Our room was facing the street. It was very loud and chaotic at times but we had a sound machine and was able to drown it out to sleep. We watched a lot of cool things happen right out the window so that was fun. The beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable. There is a beautiful grocery store right next door with fresh food to eat daily. The restaurants nearby were great. No microwave in the room.

There was a 2cm hole in the wall just by the shower head. I was worried a critter might stick his head out. The staff were great. The bed very comfortable but the pillow smelled like urine and had to be replaced.
